Coffee and pie... Breakfast... Lunch... Diner... Drinks... Located in the centre of Haarlem, near the station and the shops!
We passed this cafe on our way from the train station. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was excellent. We loved our food - best we have had in Amsterdam so far. And it was priced so reasonably. And loved the two well behaved doggies there. Definately a must go.

fabelous restaurant a one man show, kitchen and service in one hand. very cosy interior, good wines and menu price around 40 Euros
This was our second visit to Karmozijn and we wondered if the quality of the first meal could be surpassed and it was!The service, food and ambience was second to none. The wines were matched perfectly to each course. The presentation of each of the courses was beautiful even down to the beautiful cutlery. We gave the host/chef free rein with the food and wine. What a good decision. All four of us felt this was one of the best meals we have ever had. We enjoyed every aspect of it. Michelin star standard without a doubt.

I have never experienced a better service than at Le Mortier. It was excellent. The waiters show so much dedication, passion and love for their work. It was a great pleasure interacting with them. Furthermore, the dishes I ate were of outstanding quality. My family and I chose the five-course meal and we had one vegetarian, two fish and one meat dish + dessert. The mackerel was the best I ever ate. I am also a huge fan of Le Mortier's home-made sea salt caramel ice cream.I fully recommend going to Le Mortier!

WELCOME AT RESTAURANT FRIS! A modern restaurant with a classic French cuisine, with a touch of surprising influences from around the world. The restaurant is close to the city centre of Haarlem. Passion an respect for the product is one of the unique sell
I attended this restaurant as part of a group of colleagues. We ended up opting for the 5 course surprise menu - I thoroughly enjoyed it. Every dish, from the amuse-bouche through to the courses themselves were fascinating, good quality and very tasty. Although, as it is nouvelle cuisine, the portion sizes are expectantly small. The service was good, with the waiting staff doing their very best to translate their Dutch explanations into English. The ambience was pleasant and the decor modern.Would go back.

french bistrot in Haarlem
met friends at this convienient cafe in center. The waiter was extremley friendly and helped mus with the beers and wine selection. The owner/manager came to our table to say hello also which added a special touch. It seemed mainly locals ate their which was great. The food was lovely . I had ordered snails and spring chicken . Delicious. A funny story- I went to toilet and while away a large bird stole half my meal and beer. On my return I thought my husband had eaten it, but the manager quickly rushed over to explain and offered me a new dish and drink. All guests had a laugh and so did I.If it wasn't our only day in Harlem i would have returned. ent

Authentic urban Frenchy bistro offering great French wines at surprisingly affordable prices, lobsters, dry aged beef and oysters.
We had just got off the canal boat trip, heading back to our rental apartment, we were starving, my wifeâs eagle eyes spotted oysters on a menu outside the restaurant, a quick word with one of the staff and in we went, we had table 1, on 13.12.2018 at about 1pm, our server was very welcoming and friendly, she was very knowledgeable about the menu, she recommended great wine to go with my wifeâs oysters and her steak tartare, she also helped me with a local beer to go with my risotto, and condiments for our childâs food, she went out of her way to help us find our next destination, a great experience thanks to her. I am so sorry I do not know her name, she was not wearing a badge and she is not mentioned on the receipt, many thanks.

Very happy with the meal here. Vey food fish, good value overall. Appreciate th lack of price gouging on the wine in Dutch restaurants generally. Haarlem has some good restaurant choices, and I would recommend staying there and just taking a day trip into Amsterdam, avoiding as far as possible the tourist crush in the later.
