Le personnel est très sympathique Mais la qualité des pizzas n'y est pas. Très grandes certes, mais pate pas assez cuite et garnitures sans goût.Dommage car le personnel est aux petits soins pour les clients.

Visited here this week - arrived promptly at 12 and wondered whether it was necessary to book - 20 minutes later realised it was as all tables were taken and potential diners being turned away as this is a very popular eating place with local businessmen & women. Despite this they manage both to provide excellent & well priced food (3 courses - 14.50 euros!), but also provide friendly and professionally efficient service. So do try it out if in Guincamp - but book! (NB closed Mondays).

We had to search around to find the good restaurant in Guingcamp. There are no mid range ones. Crap or quality. This is quality.Wonderful even fire kits at an early sitting.

So you are in Guingamp. It is raining cats and dogs with a gusty wind making you feel damp and miserable. And you are hungry with even hungrier kids. You spot the first creperie in sight. It is called Duchess Anne (at least one of those creperies in each Brittany city). It looks inviting both due to the familiar Duchess Anne name and you want to simply not be in the damp, windy weather with kids clinging on to your coat for food. You go in and the rest as they say is history. The staff were friendly (and patient with our requests) and the galettes were lovely - mind you they perhaps tasted better given the weather. The usual mark of a place is if it is busy with locals and this one certainly was. Service was rather relaxed at times but we didn't mind as the weather certainly was not inviting us back out again!

We were only in town briefly, looking for a nice lunch on the way to Saint Brieuc. Since we were running a bit late, we found a good parking lot and then quickly tried to find one or more of Trip Advisor recommended restaurants open on Monday. This was one of three or four on my list. I'm glad we found it, nearly full of local customers at a little past 1230. On a main street, with little decor to speak of, this appears to be a lean but hearty operation. The service was kind and prompt. There were several inexpensive formula menus. We selected one at 19 Euros and found the beet salad with goat cheese, pork tenderloins with vegetables and potatoes and a chocolate dessert with creme anglaise all of fine quality and substantial proportions. The blackboard listed a dozen or so wines by the glass at between 3 and 4 Euros, and the Rose d'Anjou was very good. All in all, a simple, convivial and central place where they know how to cook well and appear to bring in plenty of repeat locals. A good find.

Restaurant is located in the center of Guingamp, Chef Thomas Monfort develops a menu with fresh seasonal products. Traditional cuisine served in a pleasant (nice pleasant terrace and original room)
Visited last week and the restaurant is in a new location in the centre of Guingamp. I don't know if it's the same chef as previously but the food is not as good as I would expect at this price. The starters were well presented and enjoyed all round but the main courses were unimaginative and dull affairs, a bit like the wine list. Desserts equally disappointing. Service was friendly enough but there wasn't a lot here to tempt me back.

We stopped here for dinner on the drive from Paris to Brest. Very pleasant surprise, lovely village and a very nice creperie. There are obviously hundreds (thousands?) of creperies in Brittany. This one stood out for a few reasons. We liked their crepes...they were light with little holes through them. The decor is nice and quirkly. Several local artists have their works on show. And the staff were friendly. Worth a stop.

We had the set menu lunch there yesterday and all four of us agreed that it was the best meal any one of us had had for years. Imaginative cooking, beautifully presented, good choice of dishes and excellent value wine. Can't recommend it highly enough.

This restaurant is in a very attractive old granite built manor house which at first glance signals quality and the owners have certainly put much effort into creating a pleasant and elegant dining area which nicely complements the age of the building. Anyway, we were here primarily for the food, which, having been told by others, and as mentioned on here, was purported to be excellent. The dishes on the menu certainly looked interesting, with ingredients which we are familiar with in Brittany but certainly not traditional combinations. I opted for the Noix de saint-jacques roti au boudin noir, duo de pomme; presentation was impressive but unfortunately the scallops were overcooked and the boudin noir overpowered the scallops. For the main dish I ordered the Carre de veau dore en casserole, jus brun de cacao, legumes d'hiver. The veal, was also overcooked and I had the impression it was reheated rather than cooked freshly. The vegetables were undercooked by contrast and the chocolate sauce just did not work for me. It was a bit like having a Mars Bar with your roast dinner. My wife had The tartare de saumon which she said was okay but lacked depth of flavour. For her main dish she had the volaiile aux senteurs de truffe. which again had been either overcooked and/or reheated. She said that she had doubted that the dish had ever seen a truffle; however the creamed mash potato was good.We decided not to have dessert as didn't want to make it a hat trick of disappointing dishes. The house wine was good, opting for a Cote du Rhone but the pichet of water we finally got after waiting some considerable time had bits floating in it. The music that was playing was loud enough to be intrusive and of an inappropriate genre (Pop/rock radio) which was more suited to a McDonalds. In their defense, the owner/manager was on her own serving about twenty covers that evening which possibly caused some of the disappointment in our experience. She was evidently trying her best but It does not create a relaxed feel when the waitress is running between kitchen, tables and the bar. The service was as a consequence fairly slow. I have the sneaking suspicion that it is not always like this and they have extra help (I hope) but it made for a dissapointing evening which was a birthday celebration. I think, with a bit more attention to how the food is cooked rather than focussing on presentation and making sure they are not overstretching themselves this would have been a good restaurant in my opinion rather than another dissapointingly below average one.
