Petit Restaurant Situé à 5 Minutes De Porto-vecchio... Simplicité,convivialité...grillades Au Feu De Bois... Soirées Musicales Corses Et Musiques Du Monde En Week-end...
We stopped here for a lunch on our final day on the way to Figari airport. 2 hours sitting under a simple arbour drinking rose and sampling local Corsican fare. The owner was so welcoming, kind and humble. Everything was so laid back and comfortable. I had the menu at â¬15 with an excellent plate of local meats and a little tome de brebis cheese followed by merguez sausage and excellent home fries. My wife had a good summer salad of cheese, tomatoes and olives . We had a half bottle of rose and coffee. I had a chocolat fondant. Generous portions well cooked with excellent service. What a super way to finish our stay in Corsica

Came across this restaurant by chance as it was more of a hunger stop. Parking very convenient across the road. Service was nice and friendly, Pizza's were OK and prices are reasonable. All in all average.

The place was recommended by our boat rental owner, as a place to go for great pizzas. And he was dead right. He also said to take some anti-mosquito spray, and unfortunately, he massively understated the size of the issue. The place is great, local & pizzas are excellent. Don't get me wrong, but we could not spend more than a couple seconds eating without having to strike a mosquito on our legs, arm, back, face, etc.Everybody in the place was just spraying themselves with anti-mosquito products, or wrapping themselves in their scarfs, so we just did not enjoy our dinner as much as we wished, as we wanted to get out of this mosquito infested nest asap.Very sad to say so, as the owner is a great man, makes great product, and the atmosphere could just be great. I know it's nature, but at the end of the day, you also want to enjoy the experience....My recommendation would be to go there with long sleeves....
We stayed in Tarrabucceta for a week on honeymoon in a local villa. We explored the whole south Corsica area... towns, mountains and beaches. We ate out everyday in different places and always commented on how much we would like to find some special Patisserie during our trip. We searched each place before visiting but failed to find anywhere. Then we happened upon Matteucci only 700m from our villa!!We thought it would be too good to be true, but his cakes were incredible! We were welcomed very warmly, despite the language barrier between us, and were talked through each cake and shown around the choices. We chose carefully and enjoyed them by our pool later that night. They were outstanding!!! We will visit again before we leave- definitely! We were very lucky to find this place, so close to where we were staying!! We just wish we could transport all the cakes back to Scotland!! Hi rachellC9186YJ,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review of you experience !We are very glad to read that you enjoyed our freshly prepared cakes by the pool :) and hope you had a wonderful time in Corsica for you honeymoon !All the best,Team Matteucci
We visited as a family & thoroughly enjoyed the food. Super service & very friendly despite our lack of fluent French. Only reason I didnât give 5 stars is that the inside room is a little dark but in a way that adds to the traditional atmosphere

We ate here shortly after arriving in Corsica. The value is excellent compared to the jazzier coastal towns. It is situated on the main road with stunning views and the service was very friendly and efficient. It was packed and had a wonderful happy atmosphere. We had the stuffed aubergines and veal steak. The latter was massive, like a T-bone steak, no slither of veal escalope here! And it tasted wonderful. The aubergines were packed with garlic, which only became noticeable a few hours after eating- and then for the next 24 hours, to the embarrassment of the eater. So beware the aubergines but enjoy the experience.

We've been to a few different restaurants in the neighbourhood however this one was THE BEST. We arrived at 8pm service was quick & friendly. The food was delicious. I had the calamars and the rest of my family had meat. As desserts we had sorbets! Everything was perfect from A to Z. Moreover the place is quiet and offer a great sea view.

This restaurant was, fortunately, close to the villa where we were staying. The gardens and outdoor dining area are beautiful at night and the service is friendly and efficient. The food is absolutely delicious. Thoroughly recommended. We went there twice during our stay.

Pizzas appeared to have been made by a beginner. Peculiar in shape, quantity of topping vastly exceeded quality, the result of which was nocturnal indigestion. Base was bland, but no chilli oil was offered (though we saw some on the way out). No wine list. We were offered 'local rose', which our bill later told us was 24 Euros a bottle -- at that price, customers should be told in advance who made the wine, vintage, etc. Service inefficient -- there was a mistake with one of our pizzas and the correct one arrived 15 minutes late. Hygiene questionable -- cat permitted on tables. Understaffed, leading to long waits for not especially friendly service.

Gatronomic restaurant proposing from fresh products in short circuits and a garden in permaculture, a gourmet Menu dedicated to the pleasure of epicureans. The specialty of the house is the Royal lobster from Bonifacio flambé with whiskey.
My wife and I chose this restaurant based on TA ratings and its proximity to our hotel in upper Bonifacio. It exceeded our expectations. We each ordered 2 first courses - fish carpccio and then foie gras. They were delicious and so artfully presented! We enjoyed a crisp Corsican white wine. Service was friendly and professional. It was a fantastic lunch. Very highly recommended.
