Un repas sans pareill, service très sympa et rapide, un véritable bijou dans une belle région. Merci Julie. Nous vous souhaitons un grand succès.A wonderful meal - probably the best we've had in 40 years of visiting France. Certainly the best fillet steak ever. The restaurant is small and intimate, and booking is advised. Service was exemplary. An absolute delight. Thank you.

Read review in local newsletter. visited. Sort of Steak house with french theme. Good value xcellent food. Local produce. Chef speeks english so if you have problems with the menu he'll come and rescue you.
We had the most glorious meal on the terrace, the service was suttle and not fussy, but you felt comfortable to ask for anything, the beef was the best I have ever tasted and cooked to perfection, the wine cellar is amazing for a small restaurent, and prices so cheap for the quality, just add the corkage on, we had the most glorious burgundy for 11 euros. It is such a wonderfully family run Hotel and Francois , Madame will do her best to accomodate you.Jules her husband just loves to cook for those who have a big appetite, just remember to ask for frittes if you do not like a jacket potato, you will not be dissapointed. If you stay for a week, take the formula you cannot go wrong. If you stay in the summer, enjoy the wonderful pool, what a wonderful secret part of France.

It was a very busy pizza cafe with seating areas both inside and out. It certainly had a very sunny spot outside and was always busy. The pizzas were very good. The owner could speak very little English but he was very obliging with regard to the football that our son wanted to watch on the Sports Channel. At one point he went onto the internet to find out football results from the BBC website (sad I know - being in such a lovely part of the French countryside). A warm and friendly French host and we shall certainly visit again.

Only had a drink outside on a really hot afternoon. But we had eaten lunch next door at La Cave and were disappointed. Here, though, the lady who seemed to do everything was completely charming. Based on the advice of others in the TA community and our own brief experience with the service, we would eat here.

Just moved to the local area and yesterday was the second time my husband and I have attempted to visit La Cave but sadly we have been very rudely turned away on both occasions.Yesterday we grabbed a seat outside and whilst waiting to have our order taken I went in to use the toilet and was approached by a woman who told me there would be someone with us in 5 mins. Which was absolutely fine by us.At the same time we walked in a table of about 10 people walked in and served promptly. I used the toilet and rejoined my husband at the table outside. Then another woman, with dark hair, who had been rude and turned us away last time came out and started shouting 'no no no' and started waving her hands at us in a very aggressive manner...no explanation and just walked off to serve the table next to us? We were clearly gobsmacked...and embarrassingly all the tables around us were staring thanks to this waitresses public display of whatever it was??? We ended up going to the lovely bar next door instead for food and drinks where the host was extremely helpful, polite and bent of backwards to speak English to us. I wouldn't step foot in La Cave ever again!

We were recommended this restaurant by our fantastic local B&B hosts and it did not disappoint! Our fantastic host was Isabelle who catered for our vegetarian requirement with a delicious buffalo mozzarella salad with basil pesto dressing and accompanying rustic bread and fries! We loved it - fresh, well prepared food with no delay accompanied by a glass of delicious white wine. Will certainly be heading back here (merci Isabelle!) Gary & David

The creperie saladerie "Le Potron Minet" is located in the historical heart of the small medieval town of Eymoutiers, a stone's throw from its collegiate church. In our room all exposed stone, we can accommodate about twenty people. We offer besides the va
The casual tourist is unlikely to stumble across le Potron, as it is small and hidden away from the main street. The locals know and love it, however. The evening I found it I was lucky to get there early, within half an hour all the other 22 places were occupied. Crepes, galettes and salads are the staples, but they have a good (if short) selection of main dishes and a good wine list too. The chocolate fondant desert was superb.I will be back for more, if I can get a table!

I booked this restaurant in advance, and very glad I did. I was the only person there that evening, however, received an extremely warm welcome from the staff. The restaurant was pleasantly warm, especially considering it was very cold outside, and the service was friendly and helpful. I ordered fish soup, and it was the best fish soup I have tasted for many years, excellent flavour and with a rouille sauce, grated cheese and lightly toasted croutons. This was followed by perfectly cooked magnet de canard in a delicious sauce. The house wine was a Merlot, very smooth and drinkable. I will definitely make sure I visit Eymoutiers again and eat at this restaurant, and I can thoroughly recommend it.Oh, thank you very much, I wish you meet you to speed.Sorry for my English bad.
