Small, familial and traditional french wine-bar. Menu and Plat du Jour. Open Tuesday to saturday. Lunch every days, diner only fridays.
This is a great bistrot with home cooking, top quality meat dishes and a very good wine list. Super for lunch or dinner especially if you are in the mood for a steak and some home cooked fries. Friendly service, great ambiance

A small but intimate place, the classic family run business. Some set menus are waiting for you to eat fresh, juicy burgers, prepared on the go at a very reasonable cost considering the portion. All burgers are served with fries, which was not necessarily the best; they were double cooked to make them more crispy, but the approach used is not correct, and the result was very greasy chips. Here, it would be good to have a vegetarian option, offering salad for those that don't want chips. The interior is very frugal, with table and chair remembering either those of the old schools or that old tavern of you like.Overall it's an ok place to go with friends though and enjoy some moments.

Arrived here at about 8pm on a Friday evening. There was only one more table in and we were a party of 6. Staff were so helpful in trying to help us with the French menu. There were a lot of pointing, laughing and confused looks but we all managed to order what we wanted from the menu. It was a set menu and you could choose how many courses you required. One of our party is vegetarian and she knew that she would struggle with food choices in France. Nothing on the mains was vegetarian so she chose 2 starters and was very happy with her selections. Starters arrived after a short period of time and were delicious. Main courses ranged from steak, fish and a cheese salad. all were very fresh and tasty. Wine was really good. Overall a very good meal with a great waiter who helped us greatly and continued to smile throughout. Prices were very reasonable.Hello, Thank you for your opinion. Regards,

Having previously visited the restaurant with my better half and having thoroughly enjoyed it, I decided to have an little family outing. 8 of us booked a table and the entire company was greatly appreciative of the ambiance and quality of the food and the service and attention provided by Madame.I enjoyed the Shallot tart with foie-gras as a starter, the veal sweetbread as a main (the sauce was so delicious that those of us who had ordered it left their plate clean) and the rhubarb crumble. The wine list was very reasonable and contributed to everybody's happiness after a little 'pousse-rapiere'.

Travel around France a lot with work and come across a lot of local restaurants who do their country a great justice in local French cuisine.Amazing... such a friendly atmosphere. Well priced for great tasting food.Iâve always been taught âeat where the locals eatâ as yes they are here

An excellent meal , very well cooked and presented. On a Wednesday evening the restaurant was only sparsely filled and so lacked any atmosphere. I was told it is busy at lunchtimes and weekends.

Absolutely delicious galettes and crepes, each one lovingly made from scratch. The wonderful couple that run this restaurant welcomed us back...a full year after we first ate there, like old friends. What a terrific menu, with amazing craft ciders, lovely wine, and large glasses of Calvados. We had superb galettes for our amin course, savoury, mouth-watering too, and then shared a caramelised apples with toasted almond crepe, flambeed in Calva, with chantilly cream, and vanilla ice-cream! Makes me want to drive straight back there this minute, just thinking about that dessert. Loved it, we both got a kiss from the owner plus an elbow-handshake from her husband for me, and we can't wait for our next visit there. Absolutely top quality and delicious in every way!

We arrived in Etampes purely as an overnight stopover - staying at Ibis there. The young male receptionist recommended this restaurant and we were glad he did!Very yummy typical French food. My husband was thrillled with the cooked Camembert. We both had very good Lamb main course and an equally delicious dessert of fruit in a crispy filo pastry shell. There was a minor down side involving the outside seating - as there had been a market (Sat) dustcarts, roadsweeper and a man with a blowing machine were working for a good 20 mins so rather noisy. In the end we had to laugh with another couple .
