If you want to experience a true taste of France with delightful food and a warm welcome then try Chez Marinette. No menu and not much English, so bring your phrase book and a warm smile. We ate in the front dining room and were provided with a delicious home made lunch of melon, salad, saucisson, roast chicken, potatoes dauphinoise followed by cheese, cherry cake and fresh strawberries. All washed down with a bottle (or two) of the local rose from the vignoble down the road. A pretty village with beautiful views over the Lot valley gives you a good excuse to walk some of it off. If you fancy walking further, like we did then take the PR14 path to La Mas and back. Tres bon!You need to book in advance. Our bill for three people with 2 bottles of wine, coffee and 4 courses came to â¬100.

Unexpected, surprising, delicious! I would have never thought that this small village restaurant would be so good and nice. We came with our donkeys (!), stayed overnight and had one our best holiday meals.Bonus: if you stay there overnight and if the sky is clear, go watch the stars. With no 'light pollution' around, the scene is amazing.

The cafe is almost a cliche. A traditional French cafe serving regional food in a tree-shaded square in the centre of a small Village/Bourg.. It is all the better for that. The food is not exceptional but it is also not pretentious. What you get is wholesome home cooking at reasonable prices. What qualifies it for the star rating is the service which always seems to include a genuine welcome and a real warmth. If you are looking for a good lunch stop or simply a place for a quick beer and a snack you will not do better.

The owner couple are fabulous and super friendly. I was alone and she made me feel welcome and the service fantastic. For the price the food was great and sitting listening to the sound of the water running was nice. You donât notice the traffic when seated net the river. Go and enjoy....

Under new ownership since our last visit and it shows! The beef cheeks simply melt, the monkfish - very meaty with a lovely bacon and mushroom side. Reasonable prices. Only suggestion would be to make your own kids chicken nuggets instead of using frozen ones.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food at this hotel restaurant. We sat outside on the terrace and young girl who served us was very friendly. We can speak some french, but she was so nice and tried to say some words in english to us. We choose one of the 3 course menus and we really enjoyed all the courses. The trout I ordered was boned and very fresh and my husband's steak was excellent. Overall we would recommend this nice restaurant.

This magnificent family run establishment represents Rural France at its best . Stunning views of the countryside , service that couldn't be more helpful or more friendly. We stayed for four wonderful days. We ate here twice, French Rustic cooking at its best. It's a set menu that serves produce from its own beautiful and vast garden, including their own wines. As I only speak 'un peu de Francaise' and the very friendly waitress spoke only 'un petit peu d'Anglaise' there was at times a bit of confusion but always great fun. At the start we were given an aperitif of one of their own white wines with chestnuts as an accompaniment . Then we had a few pieces of saucisson and a gorgeous terrine. After that s lovely salad was served. This was followed by the pig we had seen earlier spit roasting over a huge fire. The pork was magnificent and served with a mashed potato with a hint of garlic. There then was a lovely cheeseboard followed by scrumptious desserts. We spent nearly three hours enjoying this feast, nothing is rushed in this wonderful establishment. We can't wait for our next visit.

Well positioned on the high street, the restaurant was not expensive and served good local food. The dining room is on the ground floor and is well decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere. The service was good and we were offered a table indoors or on the terrace. It appeared to be popular with French visitors as well as foreign tourists.

Excellent family food, most enjoyable setting on the beautiful river Lot in the centre of Entraygues. Service is very welcoming and toilets best for miles around. We were staying at a beautiful gite , Blanadet, just 10 minutes drive away, also overlooking the Lot.

Le Chou Rouge our "Bistro" offbeat, Lively, constantly changing, either lunch or dinner, we welcome you around our bistronomic's cookery *. Thus, over the seasons, we have the pleasure to welcome you in different moods.
During recent stay in the Entraygues area my wife and I had this small bistro recommended and were not disappointed. The first night we ate it was a 5 course taps superbly cooked and presented and accompanied by great wine. The owner works tirelessly to ensure every one feels special and his explanation of the dishes and understanding of the wine menu was exemplary. My wife and I dined slowly for 3 hours savouring the fayre and returned for a second night which was a 'Menu of the Day'. Again 5 courses beautifully prepared and served and again accompanied by fine wine and this time we squeezed in a sweet. This restaurant is not to be missed but book and plan plenty of time to enjoy.Thank you for your opinion. We use the products of our terroirs and our region to the delight of our guests ... our signatureLooking forward to seeing you at our table.Emilien
