I traveled to Megeve especially to visit Emanuel Renautâs restaurant. There is nothing pretentious here - first Mr. Renaut greeted his guests out on the balcony overlooking the mountains that inspire his cooking. Later inside, he surprised us with subtle flavors containing mountain elements - herbs in particular. Even the salad course, with geranium oil made me smile. My favorite herb was the âcrysilusâ ? (Wood sorrel leaves I think) - a citrusy tang that lit up my venison and strawberry dessert. And then there was the Porcini heâd found that morning while hiking. I could smell the mountain on my plate!

We booked a table on the terrace for dinner. The terrace is in the quiet spot (though mind the daytime construction that makes having lunch outside impossible during July 2019).The menu is short, but pretty exciting. The wine list is impressive and we had a great bottle of white from a small producer that is generally difficult to find in the shops.The staffâs English was impeccable and the level of attention that we received was amazing, considering that only 2 people serviced the whole restaurant at that time.Definitely this spot is in Top-3 of Megeve in terms of food for us, and I can recommend it with confidence. NB: book ahead!

Sometimes itâs nice to take a break from the cute cafe scene and eat fondue at a trendier venue that still boasts a chic mountain vibe. Donât worry that youâre going downstairs into what you think is a gloomy basement space. Wrong! LT delivers sophisticated romance with its fur pillows, alpine gear, mirrors and comfortable seating. Thereâs also a balcony under an awning with a few tables, next to the little stream that runs through town. The traditional fondue (they also offer mushroom and truffle) comes with delicious whole wheat bread and you can order go-withs like salad, potatoes, cured beef to name a few. Try the brownie and ice cream for desert! Oh and the staff is delightful, all spoke English and were professional and cheerful!

They take reservations and they cater to your seating preferences; which is important when you consider the breathtaking vista.The service is always friendly and accurate.The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonnable.We always try to take our guests there for a meal during their visit and we are disappointed when they are closed for their seasonal vacations. We cannot count the number of our visits anymore.There is parking right next to the building and more just down the driveway in the ski area parking lot.

Another return visit to this gem of a restaurant in Megeve, well worth the walk up the Calvaire, you do have to book for evenings. Awsome menue, traditional Savoyard as well as lots of other choices and great steaks, best I have had in a lo g while, excellent wine and truly wonderful cafe gourmond

New in Megève, we have just bought the restaurant. In the menu you can find home made food, freshness and seasonnal products. The menu changes every two weeks so that you can enjoy even more. Here, we finish the meal with a coffee roasted for us and above

We had dinner with our family of three on a Saturday evening (reservation needed). Starter, main (pot au feu, best ever) and desert were all 5 stars. Probably the best place in Megeve for a casual family dinner, find out yourself, no regrets!

The chef is brilliant and combines flavours in the most creative ways.We ate 3 amazing meals- Dorade carpaccio marinated in beetroot followed by scorpion fish with vegetables Beetroot salad, tomato & mozzarella with several varieties of tomatoes, then taboule, rice etc. followed by BBQ chicken & pig with ratatouille & roast potatoes Tomato gazpacho followed by mixed poached fish with stuffed courgette Each of the desserts were delicious too!

Ate here on our last night and so glad we didnât miss it. Megeve is high end and generally you wonât be disappointed wherever you eat but this restaurant is just divine. The ambiance is so warm and welcoming and the staff are immaculately presented, very classy and they know there stuff. Definitely no complaints with any of the food we all ordered and the wine list is very good. All in all a very classy but relaxed evening

This lovely stop boasts great local beer and a light lunch made of various cheeses and hams. The couple that run the place are extremely welcome and friendly but the friendliest member of the staff is their dog Gaia who greets you at the door and encourages you to come inside.We plan to visit again when we repeat the walk.Thanks for your comment!
