This restaurant was recommended by a local hotelier and we're so glad we went! Food was excellent, we were genuinely impressed with the flavours, quality and presentation of every dish we tried. The wine list has a great choice. Don't be put off that this restaurant as part of a hotel. Please note they don't take dogs inside the restaurant, but we had a table outside and they kindly gave us blankets when it got a bit chillier, plus a dog bowl - which was very considerate.

We've been here three times now, both as a couple and with friends. Le Petit Blanc is decorated in traditional bistro style with checked tablecloths, great service and family feel as the restaurant is not large and impersonal. The food is traditional Burgundian with oeufs meurette cooked in both red ad white wine, which my husband loved. Worth a try.

What a surprise - one of our best evening meals that we have had while in France. Very stylish venue on the riverside, friendly and professional staff. Meals of very good quality, with nice delicate tastes from the fresh food. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

From different people we got the tip to go to Domaine de Rymsky. At Rymsky they have a farm with over 200 animals, a garden with fruit and vegetables and there is a restaurant. We booked for lunch on a Friday. After a drive through the country site we arrived at a wonderful estate and were welcomed by the lady of the house. The terrace of restaurant is peaceful, and you sit next to the greens in the garden. The only menu you get is the wine list with a nice selection of all the Burgundy can offer. For the food the Chef walks every day through the garden and picks his vegetables and herbs. To compose the daily menu, he combines his selection of the day with the products from the farm. We first got two, three, appetisers and the first course were beans and pumpkin with a perfect cooked fresh egg in a special curst. The main course was beef with parsnip, I had it rare. And although it was warm we went for a Fixin to accompany this excellent local beef. To finish the wine, we asked for some cheese before the desert of lovely fruits with berry ice.The food was delicious, with their herbs and keeping all natural they managed to get the pure taste of the elements. Overall the area is fabulous, and we will come back to see what the other seasons will offer.

Beautiful and tranquil environment. Very nice food and well-composed menu. Large choice of wines, but we had to remind the waiter about our wine choice and did not get it until one of us had already finished the main course.Suitable for calm children. In summer, there is space outside for children to play.

We have eaten here several times. The food and service have been excellent. One of the best features of this restaurant is the variety of choices on the menu. The à la carte menu has pizzas and hamburgers as well as more substantial options of meat, fish or chicken. It offers a nice break from the typical menus of Burgundian restaurants. On past visits, we have seen large groups and families here. The menu offers something to please everyone. On this visit, my husband and I were suffering from jet lag and did not want a large meal. We both chose hamburgers (his with époisses and onions, mine with ham and cheese). Both were cooked perfectly to order and came with frites and small salad. And, if you are lucky, the owners adorable dog (a black and white yorkie) will great you with a wagging tail at the door.

My wife and myself have just returned from a 3 week driving tour of France. We stayed in Couches for two nights and ate in the village on both nights. The village is in a lovely setting in Burgundy and was lovely and quiet and unspoilt when we were there. We chose this restaurant on our first night and enjoyed the experience eating with the locals. The food was delicious as was the local wine and we took our time enjoying the meal.We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

It really is a beautiful restaurant, with vaulted ceilings and a very mediaeval feel. The welcome was very warm. The food was disappointing though, apart from the supreme de volatile which was stunningly good. Service was friendly but no one spotted that we were waiting ages for each course, perhaps because there was a large party in the room upstairs
