We found this restaurant by accident! Beautiful setting and panoramic view from restaurant. We had the menu of the day and was not disappointed! Quick efficient service and food was delicious. Very popular with the locals! This restaurant was only open lunchtimes and unfortunately closed on Saturday, where we hoped we could have had a meal before returning on Brittany Ferries!

Went here after a recommendation from the comments in our giteâs book........less than average meal. The waitress rattled off the menu and then told us we couldnât have just an entree & main, just a main & dessert or an entree & dessert or a 3 course. We opted to have the last two menus but both got the last selection. The entree was a fish feuillette that was solid on the base and difficult to cut. The main course was a piece of fish that was only half cooked with some less than attractive mounds of potato & carrot. The dessert was a fruit cocktail that looked as though it was from a tin.Not really â¬40 worth!

I went for lunch, it was quite pricy, the courses came in Kilner jars which made eating difficult. The food was tasty but obviously microwaved as you choose your dishes cold from a chiller, they are then whisked off and returned hot 3 minutes later, well they were scorching in places and cool in others! The coffee is DIY, you buy a pod and then have to put it in the coffee machine and press the buttons. Maybe I have been spoilt, but not going back.

Living in Brittany, I have eaten in many creperies. This one is bar far the worst in terms of the quality of the crepes. The toilets are in need of serious renovation and the provision of a clean towel or other means of drying hands would be welcome. What else?

Modern self service excellent food. We had salads, chilli sin carne and douceur lavande for dessert. Reasonably priced at 25 Euros for the two of us. They specialise in organic local produce. There are Aldo meat options for non veggies. On the outskirts of town but easy to find. Next to a very good organic supermarket.

Last night of our stay in Brittany, we were looking for a meal near to our Cite. parked in Carhaix, and having looked at a number of Restaurants were very disappointed with the selection. Stumbled upon Le Carrick by chance, what a find. It is not very big, and quite intimate. There was only one waiter who doubled up as the bar man, and seemed to do all the front of house. The service did not suffer for this, in fact very good service. We had 3 courses form the main menu. All were of excellent quality. What was nice was the little nibbles that appeared whilst perusing the menu. Service was good, and the food hot and very tasty. Would recommend highly. At our visit the waiter had a very limited English, and it seemed that all the other diners were locals, so am not sure of the depth of the understanding of English. If you are in the area well worth seeking out.

This is an excellent restaurant in Carhaix-Plouguer with an extensive menu, great food and character.Plenty of menu options including Brittany seafood. We went for dinner and had the Brochettes St. Jacques, which were fresh and flavorful. Staff were friendly, service friendly and efficient. The restaurant is located in an old stone building with heavy wooden beams, which makes for pleasant and atmospheric dining experience. Excellent quality wine served by the glass. Quality and value. Be sure to make a reservation. Thanks you for the compliment !!!Hope To see you again !!!

Its impossible not to love this little creperie - on entering your eyes have to adjust to the dim interior- and what few tables there are- will probly be reserved- its best to go 'off peak time' to even get in. I love to visit here to enjoy the freshly made locally sourced food. To be fair the menu isn't extensive- crepes and a couple of meat dishes- but its a pleasure to sit and relaxand read all the interesting placemats-and wall decoration. It isn't always open- its usually booked up- when it is open most of the tables are reserved-but this just adds to the joy of getting a table- ordering simple food- and enjoying a total Bretton taste experience.
