We tried this restaurant on friends' recommendation and were certainly not disappointed. The space is simple, elegant but small so reservations are recommended. A couple of menus are available, one with two (32 euros) another with three courses (37 euros) and there are daily recommendations from the chef. For entrees, we began with smoked trout tartar and a white bean soup with sautéed snails--both excellent. My husband tried the chef's recommended roasted octopus (unusual and tasty) and I had the supreme of chicken with mushroom polenta (fantastic). Our desserts were light and fresh--a vacherin with mango and meringue and a plate of assorted sorbets with a financier. Nice Muscadet by the glass and attentive service added to the pleasure. W loved it! Parking nearby makes a visit easy, and the adjacent ancient church with beautifully preserved fragments of Gothic sculpture is worth a look as well.

We returned yet again, to our favourite Bretignolles restaurant. A warm welcome as always from Madame. We had a delicious salad between us (because they are huge). Lovely fresh leaves (not packet as so many restaurants have given in to) with lots of generous extras and lovely dressing. We both had pizzas which are superb and delicious fries (the best, we have decided!!). Great service, great value, great food, beautiful setting. Well done Guillionniere!!

Table of 8 and everybody happy with their food - children's meal was excellent, oysters amazing, mussels in both curry sauce and creme sauce were wonderful. Set menus were good value and the chocolate fondant pudding incredible. It is worth trying the local aperitif of trouspinette

We picked this restaurant thanks to other TripAdvisor reviews, and were simply taken on a food journey to a small corner of Paradise. The young waiter was smartly turned out, well manicured, and a most welcoming smile. We were given a choice to sit outside on the raised terrace or inside, and we chose inside. A delicious glass of kir petillante was accompanied by a smooth and silky amuse bouche of chickpea purée, scented with a small amount of cumin. Light, tasteful, delicious. My partner and I both ordered the three course set menu and enjoyed the best foie gras we have eaten in France, accompanied by a light onion confit and some julienne of sharp green apple to cut through the richness. The second act was an 'unguessable' dish.... Cod with aubergines, courgettes and chick peas...... What came out on a beautiful plate was a light, beautifully-passed aubergine purée with small mini-balled courgette pieces the same size as the few chick peas .... Additionally, a few dry-roasted tomato cheeks, packed with sun and tomato flavour.... And sitting atop this, a beautiful piece of fresh, flakey cod .... and a jus that was theatrically added over the top. It was light, fresh, multi-layered, heavenly, deceptively simple cuisine, worthy of great plaudits. At this point we felt sad that we we're already two courses through and only one to go! The finale was a beautiful flat-bottomed bowl with a light, rich chocolate mousse spread across it and, artfully arranged on top, were pieces of confit fennel, pear sorbet and pear jelly, requiring you to taste the layers of cleverly thought through elements all together... So much more skilful than putting a bowl of mousse with a sorbet and garnishes.... All the elements flowed to make a yummy end to an outstanding meal.Coffee was served in unusual cups and saucers with a small light citrus madeleine. Our bill was considerably less than we had expected and the standard infinitely higher than we could have dreamed. The attention to detail, the skill and the presentation make this a rare find in a small 'out of the way' area, and I highly recommend this as somewhere to eat.I reinforce this final sentence by adding that, as we left the restaurant, we booked to return at the end of the week for a second visit.Congratulations to this innovative, talented and excellent team.

We went just the two of us, we had a bottle of wine, mixed tapas platter and baked camembert - which was amazing!!! We sat outside and watched the people milling about whilst enjoying our treat out, overall was very nice!

We visited Mille Sabords during Sunday market dayWe enjoyed amazing Galettes and crepes and both our kids took advantage of the children's menu. The service was fantastic (even though they were very busy) and the food was simply amazing.I would definitely recommend and plan to return.

Master chef Jean-Marc Perochon has been here 12 years and after 8 scored himself his first Michelin Star. The dinner was simply superb ... and surprisingly too reasonably priced for the deluxe presentation, quality of fresh produce used and the simple but tasteful restaurant decor. Staff know they are working with excellence so they also snap to attention and service is key.! As to the hotel part of this combo: sitting immediately across from the Atlantic Ocean I had the ground floor studio - apartment #1. I found it perfect in every way for my travel needs! Parking was right at my door, a little terrace, tabl,e chairs & an umbrella... now let me top this review off ....as Jean-Marc had no problem getting down to check out the mini bar fridge was working and showing us the ropes with tv and Airco in our room before service. I'd be back in a flash! VickiSydney Australia

Visited twice during our stay. The restaurant is tucked away down a lane which generally looks dated. The restaurant itself is immaculate, clean, fresh and the food smells amazing as you enter . Staff very welcoming and attentive. Crepes/galletes delicious. Great quality food all reasonably priced. Approx 70.00 for four people including drinks, meal and hot chocolate.

We chose this over other places due to the positive reviews but a 2 course lunch for us and the baby took about 2 hours with the first 15 minutes waiting for the offer of a menu, a drink, anything really. The waitress was conscious that things were taking too long, she was super busy. The lady in charge seemed far less concerned. They were friendly and helpful enough when they were attending to people, including us and the food was quite good. It's a short, formule menu. It was a shame the high chair seemed to be missing a part and the baby's plate was full sized so it wouldn't fit on his table. Very little shade outside too; not a problem for me but it's something else to think about.
