A limited selection of main courses. The main courses were really good but the side dishes (noodles, etc..) were mediocre. We added olive oil to give them flavor. The staff is super friendly also to non-french speakers. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. You can try this restaurant if you are looking for decent food with normal prices.

There is not much in Volmunster but this restaurant makes it a definite destination.Typical of a starred venue the interior is done in neutral colors with nothing really to detract from the dining experience. The one thing that was a bit of a distraction was the waiter who stood in front of the kitchen door( almost throughout our entire meal) looking uncomfortable. The food here is seriously good and beautifully presented. The wine list is good although only full and half bottles are available. The house aperitif is a lovely cremant with a pine needle essence and scent which is quite refreshing. A three course fixed price lunch was available but we chose from the menu instead as we were not in a hurry and everything was superb. This is an excellent place for special occasion celebrations and romantic lunches or dinners.

Near Bitche otherwise difficult to get:A restaurant that opens on a Sunday!Lunch and dinner served around the clock.Beautifully located by the forrest lake you are invited to take a walk by the shore before finding your table an dashing into the fine and at times wholesome French cusine.Service is very switched on and speaks French, good English and even German.Wines are superb and even the Elsass beers are excellent.Prices are fair.

We stopped in for a bite on our way to the Citadel. After we got inside we realized it was mostly a betting spot. But we went ahead and stayed. Ordered a pizza and tarte flambee (Germans call if flammkuchen, this crust with a cream based filling instead of tomato.) It felt like we wait a long time. We were the only diners in the place. But once it came out of the kitchen it was fairly tasty and fresh. Not bad.

We had lunch there on a Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The waitress was friendly and considering she was alone and the place packed she worked fairly fast. Our flamkuchen was lovely and the bill only came to 25 euros for two people. It is not a posh place and the windows could be washed but it is perfect if you just fancy a normal lunch or dinner.

Habitués de ce restaurant aux prestations d'un très bon rapport qualité/prix, dotée d'une salle à manger style "années folles", reconnupar de nombreux guides touristiques, mérite d'être signalé.
If you are planning a trip to tour the Citadelle, I recommend that you either eat here or plan to bring a picnic with you. After a tour of the Citadelle, we walked through the town center looking for places to grab a late lunch. We expected a city center filled with cafes, restaurants, but were greated with only a few doner kebab joints, dessert coffee shops and barely a restaurant. We walked into Strasbourg, in the middle of the town center, but their kitchen was closing. When we asked them if another restaurant was open nearby, they recommended Restaurant de la Tour or else suggested that we drive to another town nearby. We opted to walk to Restaurant de la Tour and we're glad we did. We arrived later in the lunch period but the restaurant was open, full and accepted us. We were revealed because the rest of the town center was dead. As others have noted, the restaurant staff spoke only French and no other languages, so I practiced my limited high school French and it worked fine. We were a party of three, myself included, and we all were famished after touring through the Citadelle. We ordered appetizers (escargot, foie gras and a spargel special), a main dish (Lamm, risotto and fish) and desserts (fresh strawberries with cream, three types of creme bulee and an ice cream dish) and cafe. All the food was well prepared, presented and delicious. Because it was attached to a hotel, I was a bit skeptical and concerned that the food wouldn't be good. However, I am quickly learning that most of the Michelin rated dining is to be had in many hotel-related restaurants in France. Who would have known? Bon Appetit!

It was a good surprise and a good experience having dinner at Le Strasbourg.Quality of food, nice decoration, gently people.Prices are standard for a 1 star michelin restaurant. It worth the visit and particularly after an afternoon at the Citadelle.
