There has been a marked improvement in the quality of the food recently making it probably the best restaurant in the area. We are regular visitors now and very satisfied with the repas and the value. Wine prices are still a problem, they are way too high. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service is friendly and efficient. Nice quality utensils, serviettes, plates etc.

This place has only been open for 5 months. It is situated in a pretty little town in the beautiful Lomagne. Easy to find - right beside the Mairie - it is a true delight. One can do almost everything here: a drink outside in the sun, a bar inside with tv, a functions room and a super restaurant. The menu is simple: in addition to the a la carte, there is a set menu at 25 euros in addition (on weekday lunchtimes) a menu du jour at 14 euros. The food is simply excellent, perfectly cooked and prettily presented. We had a starter of fried foie gras followed by roast pigeon, both appropriately garnished. Dessert was wonderful chocolate sponges with fresh raspberries. A demi-pichet of house red and house white and coffee completed a superb Sunday lunch.Decor is modern...and spotlessly clean, well lit and comfortable. The welcome is warm and service, while only semi-trained and not slick (this is a country village in forgotten France) was willing and smiling and well-paced.Some small improvements could make the place even more attractive to more sophisticated clients: for example linen napkins instead of paper ones and proper place mats rather than a piece of brown paper. Despite these small niggles, this is seriously good restaurant. I can't wait to go again and would recommend it unreservedly.John,Thank you so much for your nice comments. In the meanwhile, we have quite followed your advices since we have chosen some pretty chocolated-placemats in natural resin. Please, come again and tell us what you're thinking about it and the new card, kind regards,Florence & Maxime

This little restaurant doesn't look like much, but don't be deceived by appearances as the food is delicious. Very good value 3 course lunch - starter buffet and 3 choices each of main course and pudding. Friendly staff and convenient location.

Excellent set menus of varying prices, also a la carte. Typical French food, good, friendly service. A lovely experience. Well patronised by locals.

An unusual setting, amongst what remains of an old petrol station, but cheerful and very satisfactory. J.M.

The belle montoise's table is modern and shakes the codes of traditional meals. The concept of the discovery table is simple, come with an appetite for curiosity, and let you guide. A contemporary setting, ideal for working lunches or family reunions. A u
Always delicious, always beautifully presented, and always made to feel special. We enjoy walking to La Belle Montoise from our home, but it is worthy of a trip to Beaumont to enjoy an excellent meal in a beautifully restored building.

Not quite sure of location so we were in Beaumont de Lomagne a couple of days before stumbling across it (easy to find really, just head for the large lake and recreation area). Worse, we arrived on a Sunday lunch period when the inn had evidently been block-booked for a large family reunion. The staff were helpful despite being rushed off their feet so we sat outside under the welcome shade of several trees and enjoyed our soft drinks - no alcohol or hot drinks possible, it seems! The youngest spent a happy hour or so on the swings and watching the animals, though we suspected some of them were destined for the evening menu.Learn from our mistake, find out when they are open and go enjoy the food, mostly local dishes, including cassoulet from further south. Can't comment on the cooking but the location and atmosphere were top-rate.

The restaurant was packed for Friday lunch - always a good sign. We were last in so had a little wait, but we didnât mind. We really enjoyed the menu du jour and the burger de la chef - fresh, simple food, cooked very well - everything was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, she even brought our dog a bowl of water. And they kindly gave us our coffee for free to make up for the wait.
