Great food, buger and amazing fries or chips ascthey say. All the french ate their burgers with knife and fork which I could not bring myself to do. Good juicy, cheezy burger all hands involved!

I was lucky enough to meat a French business colleague for dinner here one evening. It was an excellent meal. Everything was fresh, the service was prompt and professional and the wine was perfect. Overall an excellent dining experience.

Owing to many restaurantsâ in Arras slightly odd opening hours our first few choices were closed. So we ended up here which wasnât at all a bad thing. The location is nice on the Paces des Héros but away from the very busy end. The waiter was busy but service was pretty good as was the foie gras we shared followed by coq au vin. The wine list was good and we were very happy with our choice of a Bordeaux. There were tourists there but later on a lot of locals turned up as well which made for a nice atmosphere.

A simple menu, a policy of "single price", and season products. Couleur des champs also is a restaurant where the local producers have their "place of honor".
Superb, tasty food in a central location to the 2 Squares. Limited menu but sufficient to suit all palates. Consequently, food is freshly prepared and seasonal. Very pleasant Manager and his wife oversee Service and advise on menu and wine. Very reasonable value at 7 Euros for Starters and 16 Euros for Mains. We had venison stew; melt in the mouth and tasty corn crumbed chicken. The food was served in a very friendly atmosphere - would thoroughly recommend.

Ate here on the back of TA reviews and were not diappointed.Small, inventive menu, three choices per course but I felt with enough variation, although if a regular diner, you might find it restrictive, having said that, the place was full with many locals. The only reason we dropped a star was that we felt the dessert let the meal down a bit, it just seemed too prepared, as did others we saw coming out.We would definitely return though.

Repris il y a maintenant 7 ans par Pauline et Romain , un jeune couple dynamique et passionné , le restaurant le péché Gourmand vous propose dans un cadre moderne et accueillant une cuisine de saison autour de produit frais . En effet , le midi en semaine
We were staying overnight briefly in Arras on our journey to the coast and needed somewhere near the hotel for dinner; this was the closest place that was open and we weren't disappointed. Despite feeling slightly under-dressed in our casual traveling gear (everyone else seemed to have made a bit of effort in comparison), upon inquiring if they had any availability we were taken straight through to a table, and given menus. The choice wasn't large (but that is reassuring in itself as it tends to mean the kitchen is more likely to be making it all fresh rather than relying on pre-prepared items). Starting with some canapés with our drinks, and finishing with the mini-profiteroles that came with our coffee, via the well presented and delicately prepared main courses, everything was far better than we had originally expected when we set out on our 5 minute walk from the hotel.

In April of this year we visited our French friends who live in Arras, France. The took us to their favorite restaurant for lunch. The family run restaurant was outstanding in every way.

On the outside a truly unobtrusive business... But the moment we got inside to make a reservation we felt: 'this is a good place to come!'The menu is composed of first courses with eggs as the main ingrediënt, the maincourse are all poultry. (There is also one vegetarian main course, and a daily changing fish and (red) meat main course). We still were a bit suspicious... Would it be really possible, to create something creative with chicken and eggs? Well, at L'oeuf ou la poule', they do!The 'Oeuf parfait 'Espuma' de Maroilles' was a dream...Every ingrediënt of my 'Filet de Canard au poivre de Sichuan' was cooked to perfection. And then there was the dessert... I choose the 'Oeuf chocolat surprenant'... I never, never ever had a dessert like this. It was heaven. To our meal, we drank a glass of very good organic red wine.

I took some clients to The French House on Sunday. It was moderately busy and seemed to have plenty of staff on duty. But the service was very slow, there were problems with the orders, and there were issues with the food. The green salad was off, meat was in one case very overcooked and in another undercooked. And the staff were inattentive. I won't be going back.Sorry for all.
