The place is "okay", nothing more, nothing less.We ate something there, which wasn't memorable, we drank something, which wasn't extraordinary. The staff is friendly but not going out of their way for you.

We love going to Le Plage. The ambience is welcoming and enchanting. A little piece of paradise in the middle of the vines. They take care in preparing interesting dishes that often have a South Asian taste. A nice change from regular fare. Kids love it here too. Concerts are often sold out.

The owners must have changed. What we found at Le Pavillon had little resemblance with the pictures posted by other reviewers. The food was nevertheless very good on a short (5 item) menu. An eqully short but good selections of biers topped if all. The service is friendly, and you'll mingle with very local crowds. The atmosphere is closer to a dive bar's than that of a gastropub.

We arrived in Gignac after 1pm, out of summer season, on a cold windy but sunny day having visited Guilherm le Desert and not seen anywhere there we fancied eating. We hurried in here thinking we might be too late, this is rural France after all. We were warmly welcomed, a water bowl for our dog was provided before I could get my own out of my bag and before we were offered apéritifs. Dog very happy! Good choice of interesting food delightfully served in generous quantities. Folk arriving after us were cheerfully seated and served too, even those arriving nearer 2pm.

Walking up a steep cobbled lane in Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert I came upon a tiny little sandwich shop/bistro. The wife runs the little front end and the husband prepares the food. They specialize in wonderful sandwiches, quiche, and deserts. We drank a lovely local rose while having a superb lunch. The gorgeous medieval village is a "Plus beau Villages de France" or one of France's most beautiful towns! Great spot worth a visit in this beautiful region of the Languedoc.

We came on a rainy Sunday. Got in just ahead of the crowd. The owner waitress was great fun. Wonderful food. Lamb's brains? Yes and good. Great selection of food and wine. Great for families. The town is unreal. I would come again and stay for weeks. YUM!!

We went here for our lunch having previously eaten here under the previous owners. The restaurant was significantly altered since our last visit. The welcome was friendly and warm. Our hostess explained the menu to us which was creative in that we had a surprise lunch. Each course was a surprise. It was elegantly presented and top class. We all had different dishes and were pleased with their presentation and content. One of our party was a strict vegetarian and said it was one of the best meals she had eaten.By the way I think the name of the restaurant is actually SouKa

La Famourette is a happy and friendly outdoor live-music restaurant in a clearing in the woods by the river between Aniane and Gignac. One of the terraces can be covered and heated to ensure a warm welcome for you from April to October. The trees and para
This is an atypical place...totally authentic in terms of chaotic car parking :), surrounding and decor! Great food ( not the largest choice but local and environmentally friendly ) , great service and lovely ambiance. The singer was brilliant (ranged from Frank Sinatra to Ed Sheeran, everyone at our table was happy ... Grand-Ma and Grand-son included) . We had great (simple) fun!

Astonishingly, first week of September and on a Thursday lunchtime we were the only customers. I had mullet followed by cheesecake both of which were fine. Closes at 1.30pm so we felt a bit rushed having arrived at 12.45pm. Very nice wine. 18 Euros for mains and dessert.

We stopped here for lunch en route to Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert. We rarely order burgers in Europe since they are almost always bad. But we had read good reviews about the ones here. They did not disappoint. They were hand-made, juicy, and cooked to order (rare.) The pomme frites were also delicious. A carafe of of the house red was also a pleasant surprise. Service was very good in spite of the language barrier. Would highly recommend this place. Wish we could have sat outside but it was just too windy.
