This restaurant pretends on their website a standard that they are not able to uphold. The food is far too chunky and more like a sub-standard bistrot than a good restaurant. We both had the menu 'du terroir'. My rillette de canard came in a terrine form and was not creamy at all but very solid. It came with too hills of salad. The roasted veal was not really roasted and overcooked. The meat and the overcooked vegetables were drownd by a salty sauce overdone with maizena. The cheeses were good, but the cook didnt prepare that... My real dissappointment was the dessert. I chose for the clafoutis with caramalized pears, but instead received a solid creme brulee with tasteless pieces of pear. The nougat glacee of my partner never went int the freezer...Our advice. Change the decor and fire the chef immediately. Montargis deserves a better restaurant! Please, do not visit this restaurant.

We chose this restaurant as it is environmentally friendly and uses local produce. They also cater for vegetarians. The meal was excellent.

La Gloire has been one of my favourite restaurants in France for over three decades. Good seats a superb price/quality and not the least rooms after a very good diner. Mr. Martin has the lobster in the region and his turbot with curry is mouthwahtering. The winelist is reliable and also affordable.Le caravan de douceurs is worth a journey. We will return

A local recommended this new restaurant and the food was great. I enjoyed the escargot with Andouille, not too garlicky but buttery. The lapin was tender and sauce was just right. The pistachio ice cream and fruits was really good with different flavors, but was too much - should have been shared. The menu is supposed to change frequently so every time is a new discovery. I'd go back here in my next visit in October.

We ate here twice and loved it. Simple French food - not posh, but well done. Two plats plus dessert for eleven euros, and it was delicious. Good service and warm welcome. Love this place.

To start with my conclusion, excellent place!Easy to find location in the centre of Town. Relaxed atmosphere and good chairs to sit in. Menu is nicely compact, food is well prepared and they have a wide variety of wines by the glass. Good!Staff is punctual and patient.Value for money is very ok!

Organic food and local food
See, the trouble is with Trip Advisor there's no mid ground between Average and Very Good - I keep writing and telling them but they pay no attention. So to this review - out for a simple pizza and a glass or two of red.....we had a good night, pleasant service and a nice meal but not outstanding. The wine list a bit on the expensive side for what it is and the menu pretty basic...yes everything was fresh and well prepared. The Pizza, well, not traditional that's for sure - used cantal and parmesan cheese instead of mozzarella so very different flavours....quite strong but not unpleasant . But if you're in the market for traditional Italian food this is definitely not it. We had 1 glass of Chablis (6.50), 1 local beer (3.90), 1 half bottle mineral water (3.90) 50 cl carafe of Beaujolais wine (12.90) 2 pizzas @ 14.90 each and a coffee for 2.20.All a bit on the expensive side for what it is.....so overall, we had a pleasant night the service was fine the food Ok but not exceptional and to be honest we expected more given the reviews and it was over priced. Make your own mind up.And T/A needs to step up and make another review category of good ..... too many places fall in the gap between Average and Very Good - thus it penalises good places and rewards average places - Write and tell them like I do!!Dear Guest Firstly, thank you for letting us your Opinion. We are a traditional french restaurant open since 1989.We do not claim to be an Italian restaurant, on the contrary, we claim to be french restaurant. Our priority is to work with local producers, organic food if possible and mostly with fresh products. For your prices description, you quote the Chablis wich is a Organic Petit Chablis 100% Chardonnay. The beer is a local beer, made at 10km of the restaurant, our pizzas are totally homemade and cooked on demand with Cantal « AOP ».The difference between the all prepared products from the agrochemistry and the homemade cuisine with local products is about 200 or 300% more expensive. Moreover, in our kitchen, we havenât one cook who open bags but a star chef with 5 cooks who prepare everyday all the ingredients needed to serve our guests.Itâs our choice, our Slow Foodâs philosophy : take care of the health of our guests and of the planet. We'll welcome you again with pleasure.Alain, Fred, Mickaël and their team.

The Pitchoun's restaurant is a "bistronomique" restaurant. Our Chef, Christophe cooks french dishes with a personal touch ! All is homemade and fresh and renew few times per week !
Unusually I selected this restaurant randomly today with my friend who was complaining of tired legs and needed to sit down and rest and eat.In a relatively quiet laneway in central Montargis, We said is in comfortable shade and was served immediately by a friendly and polite waitressDespite the difficult presentation-The main salad was buried under a large slice of bread, onto which was placed the salmon and delightful salad accompaniment-the meal was superb. The Atlantique salad: Salmon, fennel, beautiful dressing, a little fruit. The cafe gormond was I believe the best I have had in France in the past five years.I definitely will eat here again. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant as a place to wait and if the weather allows the interior is I lovely ambience also.Born Appetite

Excellent dining experience. The menu proposes both traditional dishes from Savoie and a more elaborate cuisine. Four categories to choose from: A for starters, B for meat/seafood , C for sides and D for desserts. The price of the meal depends on the combination of your choice from 4.5⬠for a C only to 32⬠for ABCD. All dishes were excellent : delicate and tasty, original and nicely plated. A special mention to the prawn dumplings, the salmon tartare, the chicken suprême and the scallops. The top of the experience was the 'chocolate resolution'. A very good Lalande de pomerol red wine was served and accompanied the meal along with the nice and always courteous Staff. One of the best table in its category.
