Wow, this massive garden park has so much you could come back a dozen times and still not see everything. Extraordinary displays of WA's famous wild flowers, tree scapes, lawn gardens, fountains, magnificent views of Perth and the waterways, cafes & recreational areas for families & children, historic sites and the magnificent State war memorial. Serviced with easy access roads, pathways suitable for all, free bus service to and from the park, cafes, tourist information, top quality gift shop and toilet facilities. Magnificent and symbolic memorial to the 645 crew members of HMAS Sydney II who are still on patrol. The memorial is among the best war memorial that we have seen anywhere we have visited over the years with the Wall of Remembrance, the Sanctuary, the Stele, the Pool of Remembrance and, perhaps the most poignant, the Waiting Woman Sculpture looking eternally to the sea for the return of her sailor. There were a lot of visitors, both young and adult, yet there was silence as if everybody recognised that they stood in a special place.

Beautiful place to visit, swim and snorkel for all ages. An easy walk from car park and short easy walk to Elephant Rocks, both very worth seeing.

This beach is always a stunner. Swimming in crystal clear water, squeaky clean white sand and there is a walk over the rocks to other areas if you feel like exploring

Where else can you find, a International Award winning distillery producing Top Shelf Spirits; a brewery that makes fantastic craft beer; cafe with homemade pizza; a cocktail bar using TGD delicious liqueurs; and secluded accommodation so you don't have to leave.
We popped by this afternoon on impulse - despite no notice the staff were happy to help us out with a distillery tour, which was entertaining and informative, particularlywhen it came to discussing ingredients used and the challenges of distilling in Australia vs other countries. Food was lovely (the scones are absolutely delicious!), and the quality of the spirits on offer excellent - the Turkish delight liqueur in particular i can easily see needing a repeat order. The surroundings are great - this is not an operation where quality has been skimped on at all, and it's extremely picturesque. Staff were all helpful and cheerful - my father and I had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to our next trip when we can spend more than a couple of hours here!

Safe beach, huge range of bars, restaurants, shops (good prices too - bought a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses that were cheaper than the internet price!) Parking is free, safe and there's plenty of it. Great spot for a trip - and remember to fit in AQWA! ????

Perth's favourite playground, the Swan River is a stunning waterway which winds its way from the Darling Scarp to Fremantle. This natural attraction is popular location for Perth locals and visitors to enjoy a day out boating, fishing, skiing, paddling, swimming, picnicking or simply enjoying its vista.Rich in environmental and cultural values, the Swan River was named Derbal Yerrigan by the local Aboriginals who believe that the river was created by the rainbow serpent ‘Waugal’, a dreamtime spirit taking the form of a giant snake. It is believed that the Waugal created creeks, waterholes, lakes and valleys on its journey to the ocean.
