My favourite shop owner I have ever met in the whole of Turkey! Julia and her husband were so friendly and gave me plenty of advice on which ring to choose for my engagement. I could have stayed in the shop all day, talking about life in Selcuk and being offered Turkish tea. What an experience! There was no pressure to buy anything and the large number of jewellery items was just amazing and made it very hard to pick!! I have definitely made a friend in that shop and will be back again in the future!!!

We visited La Tulip several times last September and enjoyed drinks and chats with Ali each time. He is very proud of his shop/gallery, it is a real a treasure trove. Ali makes you feel very welcome and enjoys your company and telling you about Turkish life. I bought a pair of Ali’s hand made shoes, they are so comfortable and very good quality.... Thank you Ali ???? Be sure to visit La Tulip on your visit to Selcuk, it will be a memorable experience.

Family Local Business in Selcuk Ephesus Turkey since more than 40 years.
I have been working in Turkey for almost 2 years now, and I knew that the right moment to buy a rug/carpet in Turkey would find me at the right time. When I was invited out to Can Carpet by a friend in Izmir, I had a feeling this could be "the one" - and boy was it perfect. This experience had everything that I love about turkish culture: hospitality, pride in the craftsmanship, and connection to tradition with a creative twist towards innovating in the future. Can was great, and I felt honored to have him share the space and story of his craftsmanship. I can't wait to have a reason to take some of my friends and relatives back.

My brother and I have been in Selcuk since 1997, starting in ethnic art such as kilims, carpets, and textiles. Five years ago, as a result of the earthquake in the city of Van, my uncle sent his inventory of jewelry to Selcuk. I began a jewelry business, which has since then included fine ceramics and lamps. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and providing them with beautiful handcrafted goods to remind them of their visit to wonderful Turkey.
This shop has lovely merchandise. I enjoyed looking at all the beautiful goods. I bought an nice notebook here. The owner is friendly and informative. I recommend checking out this store when you are in Selçuk.
