The Province of Pisa (Italian: Provincia di Pisa) is a province in the Tuscany region of central Italy. Its capital is the city of Pisa. With an area of 2,448 square kilometres (945 sq mi) and a total population of 421,642 (As of 2014), it is the second most populous and fifth largest province of Tuscany. It is subdivided into 37 comuni. With a history dating back to the Etruscans and Phoenicians, the province achieved considerable power and influence in the Mediterranean in the 12th and 13th centuries. Pisa, the provincial capital, is well known for its Leaning Tower which attracts tourists to the area with many historic landmarks.

An unique museum is very well presented and contains a very informative and thorough collection forming the history of Italian Paratroopers. The staff is very friendly and dedicated, able to engage in a very interesting description of the museum and its individual exhibits.

In the historic center of Volterra, Olga Niescier has her beautiful gallery Kapla Art Living. For me as a photographer it is an inspiring space with tasteful art and beautiful use of materials. Definitely a must to visit when you are in Volterra !!

This is the second most beautiful Piazza in Pisa, after the Piazza dei Miracoli, in my opinion. The shape of this square is that of a trapezoid. The main building is the Palazzo della Carovana, now Scuola Normale Superiore founded by Napoleon, which currently serves as extension of the local university. There are 2 churches and other historic buildings that beautifully sorround the square.

This beautiful Pisan gothic church, which reportedly had one of the thorns of Jesus crown, was moved from a lower level by the river to its current location, just overlooking the river. At sunset, the sunlight enters through the coloured glass windows for a truly magnificent effect.

well what a grand morning out we had at the piaggio vespa museum easy to find with google maps there is a car park next to it only cost 2 euro for the time we were there there were a great number of vespas going back over the years some featured in films and some were worth a lot of money i d bet then to cap it all there was a motorcycle museum as well which was very interesting all in all a very good experience well worth a visit

Piazza dei Miracoli is located in Pisa, in Tuscany Region, in Italy. Really, it is the most turistic point in the city, where you can see 4 incredible places: Leaning Tower (in fact, it is the bell tower of the cathedral), Duomo (the cathedral), Camposanto (the cemetery) and baptistery: Incredible buildings! the tower is the most known, and it is wonderful, especially if you go up (with a prebooking always, in August-2019, when we visited this place), but the other buildings are also great. The Berignone forest is an unexpected place. Roads, paths, meadows, forest, streams. A somewhat magical place in the heart of Tuscany, crossed by motorbike and on foot. Must see.

It's so amazing to see such a fantastic piece of late 1980's street art by a famous, gay, american artist, painted on the side of a catholic building in Italy! For any fans of Haring's work, this really is breathtaking. Poignant, but brilliant at the same time. Painted when he knew he was dying, but filling the wall with burst of colour and positivity. Also it's in great condition, a credit to Pisa for caring for this piece There's a cafe opposite- perfect place to take the view in.
