A modern iron sculpture by Eduardo Chillida embedded in the rocks at the water's edge.
A romantic place where the waves of the sea, iron, stone, wind and sculpture originality come together. A nice walk by the sea.

Highly recommend this if visiting the San Sebastian area. It's a nice walk to the top with superb views across both sides of San Sebastian. Overall walk takes maybe an hour from top to bottom at a leisurely pace. Take some water if the weather is warm as it can be tough is some parts

La Concha Beach in San Sebastian, Spain is the best urban beach in Europe. Elegant, urban, cosmopolitan, white sand, crystal clear waters and lush hillsides makes La Concha the best urban beach in Europe and one of the most beautiful in the world. Wander the old town and lose yourself amongst the narrow streets, with so many restaurants/bars to stop at for refreshment and so many sites to see and explore.

The architecture is something to marvel at. Inside, the church was very solemn and quiet, good for prayer and reflection. Outside, the view is also great!

The name of this place says it all 'Miramar' Palace, it certainly looks onto the sea, and what incredible view! It's the former summer residence of the Spanish queen Maria Cristina who spent her summers here for 40 years. It currently hosts the University Summer Courses and other special events. During the summer it opens at weekends for visits. In any case, it's worth just popping in for a stroll on the grounds and gardens to enjoy the magnificent views of the Concha bay.

We were walking into the town, intent to make it to the harbor for lunch at a small seaside restaurant to be found upon arrival. Instead We found a wedding had just ended in this church, with everyone standing outside. We walked in and the priest was just cleaning up and locking the doors. It gave us a few minutes inside. The floor was incredibly far from horizontal. Possibly 18 inches from front to rear. This just did not happen, it was built in this manner. Beautiful interior for this small village church.

Pasai Donibane is a little fisher town located close to Donostia/San Sebastian, in Gipuzkoa Region, in Basque Country. It is one of the villages of Pasajes/Pasaia and it is the most beautiful of them. In fact, in the village, you can see some churches, the house of Victor Hugo and the main square (very nice old place with some bars and restaurants to eat or drink something in the terrace) and walk around the coast line until almost the lighthouse. From this walk, you can see great views of the bay, really wonderful. Also, from the village, you can see Pasajes de San Pedro located in front of the bay (very beautiful views) and you can go by boat to the other side, very nice little excursion.
