Panoramic route into the torrent Brasa gorge From 27/07/2020 till 30/09/2020 one way uphill in the first part - Atm closed for work in progress
A really must do. Road is narrow with lots of curves and with very nice views on the Garda lake. It is a one way street (as of this year from 10 am till 17 pm) when you climb, so normally you cannot have oncoming cars. (otherwise there are traffic lights). To get back you simply follow in the little village of Pieve at the round about the indications for Voltin, Vesio, follow that road untill you see a sign Limone to the right. So you will get back on the road around the lake.

We visited Onepio to do the gold wine tasting which was excellent and great value for money. Most importantly we tasted a number of great wines - we were allowed to pick which ones we wanted to taste from a selection so it can be tailored to personal preferences. We had some lovely local cheeses and other snacks to accompany also. Our hostess was really knowledgable taking us through each wine and how its grown and produced. She struck a great balance between talking to us and giving us time to just enjoy the wine. We stayed for a drink after in the sunshine and ordered a few bottles to be sent home also. Very glad we visited.

Lake Iseo is paradise on earth, it is really beautiful. I am lucky to have friends who have boats and we have visited many places on Lake Iseo, and everywhere seems so pleasant like most of the local people we met, and as we can speak Italian quiet well we have spoken to quiet a few people and they all were very nice and easy to talk to as they talk a nice Italian with no dialect.

This is a great place to go with friends or family, or even alone. You are going to take amazing pictures specially if the day is sunny and bright. In my opinion, you should go with time, around two hours so you can walk around and in the castle.

The Lombardy Region officially recognised the Nature Reserve of Manerba del Garda ("Della Rocca, del Sasso e Parco Lacuale") with a regional resolution in April 2016. The park covers a territory of approximately 1,160,000 m2 (include meadows, woodland, trails, vineyards and olive groves), as well as 850,000 m2 of the lake itself. The Reserve was established to preserve and promote the ecosystem and landscape, historical and archeological sites, as well as to support such activities as education and understanding, preservation and divulgation of a unique environment, remarkable for both its history and biodiversity. The Valtenesi Archeological Museum within the Reserve is the information centre for visitor who wish to understand why throughout history humans have chosen to settle in this spectacular setting. The Reserve is always open to the public.
