While walking downtown Petaluma, my wife and I discovered Sonoma Portworks. The owners and portmakers (Bill and Caryn) are on-site most of the time. They are knowledgeable and delightful to interact with. their prices are great for quality ports and they even have grappa too! Go enjoy yourself!

WOW! This is the longest operating cheese company in America, making traditional & original cheeses since 1865. They happily offer free & delicious samples while educating visitors at the same time. Opens daily at 11am with a lovely pond and free picnic area (with any purchase). We were surprised to find many half price cheeses & pastries, with different ones offered daily. Be sure to schedule time to stop in & pick up some delicious goods on your way out to Point Reyes National Seashore; as it's on the same route. You'll be glad you did!

Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company's “Seed Bank” finds its home in the historic Petaluma Downtown District. It’s a beacon for gardeners, foodies, shoppers, and tourists alike for non GMO seeds, sustainable products, local items, and friendly expert gardening advice!
Get their catalog. From the catalog you can see the depth and richness of heirloom seed. The staff is wise to all things heirloom gardening. The store is unique, but once you are on the catalog list, you're in. (and maybe hooked on heirlooms)

We carry military antiques from the US Civil War continuing all the way to present day. We specialize in items from World War One and World War Two to include US, British (United Kingdom and Commonwealth Nations), Germany, France and a small selection of WWII Soviet items. We buy, sell and trade all military related items. We are always seeking out full collections or groupings and really do appreciate when we can get the background behind all the items we buy and sell. We really do want to preserve the story or the history behind the item the best we can! We are in the basement of the Petaluma Antique Collective please make sure to come down stairs.
