At the cultural heart of our city, Te Manawa draws art, science and heritage together to reflect our past, illuminate the present and inspire a creative and sustainable future for our growing region and its people. Our public want deeper and more energetic access to their museums. They want to see and hear their stories told, in their own voices. They are right to demand inclusion, representation and participation. These make for personal experiences that touch them emotionally, inspire them creatively and give life and mana to their collective heritage – making for an exciting place to live. The main goal of Te Manawa Museums Trust is to provide the people of Manawatū and beyond with interactive experiences in art, science and heritage. For us, it is all about connection. People should feel passionate and excited about, and attached to Te Manawa, the collections we care for, and the experiences we shape with them.
Excellent Museum for adults and children. The kids play area for under 7s is fantastic for the young ones to explore things. The social history gallery is great to look into the display cases to see things that have gone by. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

First visit for me and it just has an amazing presence about where it sits in Broadway as you can see the Cathedral in all its glory. It has been well maintained and that is great to see as a lot of the older places are getting demolished now, it would be super if the place had tours that you could go up the spier. Inside is just breathtaking and l was in awe of everything l looked at so make time and visit this superb place you certainly will not have trouble finding it.

The Inspire Me Store and Wellness Centre is the creation of Michelle Grey, a woman with a passion for personal development and the Law of Attraction. In establishing Inspire Me in 2009, Michelle wanted to create a place where people could find tools such as books, CDs, DVDs and card decks that would help them navigate this exciting journey called life. Discovering Abraham-Hicks and Wayne Dyer that year transformed her life, resulting in the creation of Inspire Me. Michelle's love of beautiful things means the store is constantly filled with an interesting and eclectic range of gifts. A variety of holistic services are offered daily by independent practitioners working out of rooms at Inspire Me. We invite you to experience Inspire Me and perhaps allow your life to be transformed. Very popular area which is used for entertainment and competitions for various organisations. Families can use it for picnics and generally relaxing. Also used for multi-cultural days where the different cultures can display their different food and clothes. There are often celebrations such as Christmas, New Years Eve, Anzac Day, Massey Unversity Graduation celebrations, Young Farmers Day and sometimes an ice skating rink. Very nice area and the City encourages its use. plus it is close to the Mall and shopping
