Last year I had an art exhibition at the Red Door. I had not visited since last year and was worried that the standards may not be the same. From the gate to the reception, I was treated almost as a family member of the red door from. Tucked in VI, this serene gallery had it own class, with wok

Although I am a Christian and not an expert in architecture, I have a deep appreciation for Islamic architecture. This is one of the most beautiful building in Abuja and one most of my friends and family who come to visit appreciate seeing. While not as impressive as some of the Mosques I have seen in the Middle East, it is still an impressive site in the Abuja cityscape. It’s hard to miss when driving through the city centre and stands out amongst the otherwise sterile government office buildings in the city centre.

I first noticed this building when I came back for easter it was at night as I got of at the cms busstop I was so impressed by the sight of the building that I wanted to go back and have a look. I visited on a public holiday before the evening markets started so the junction was busy but not yet crazy. We didnt pay any entrance fee. The secruity guys let us in and we took a look at the cathedral and made some pictures. Unlike certain places my digital camera was not an issue here. I believe we spent like 20 minutes in the church. The pictures of the cathredal are best taken from across the street or perharps also from the bridge. They church had been decorated for an 80th birthday celebration so there were flowers and ribbons - making the pictures more personal

Nike Centre for Art and Culture is where training is offered free of charge to all Nigerians in various forms of arts; painting, batik, dance, study of sculpture, theatre, quilting and more. The centre was originally a safe haven for disadvantaged women and young adults, and has trained over 3000 Nigerians who are now earning a decent livings.
It was absolute delight to see the wonders of Nike's Art Gallery. She was warm and gave us tons of information on the collections on display empowering several local artists. We were also wowed by her custom made material which she has on display and for sale. We definitely bought a few pieces to be created into magical garments. From the entrance to exit you are immersed in artistic bliss, also if you need a refreshing snack or drink she has a cute little cafe shop you can decompress in. Nike is a wonderful wealth of information and it was a delight an honor to be in her presence she is a legend in the Orisha world and art scene.

First craft brewery in West Africa; we are inspired by the spices, flavours and hustle of Nigeria. Come down and try the freshest beers in the country and some great banter. Contact us for what’s on at the brewery or for organising a brewery tour!
I love to visit Bature Brewery like almost everyday. I love craft beer, I love the amazing people. I'm a regular - it's a wonderful place for locals to meet tourists.
