Sprawling tea plantations surround the serene hills of Munnar, which attract adventure travelers hungry for paragliding, treks to Anaimudi (South India's highest peak) and hikes originating at the confluence of three mountain streams. The stone Christ Church, built by the British in 1910, is adorned with renowned works of stained glass, and Eravikulam National Park, about 10 miles away, is home to equally colorful wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex), ruddy mongoose and 120 bird species.

As i saw this during monsoon season the falls presented a great sight . To view the falls you have to take a really rough private road from Pallivasal which is about 6 km from Munnar on the Cochin road. The locals told that there is very little water in the falls apart from the rainy season.

The 'Taj Mahal of Munnar"- This church built in 1910 reminds us of the British era ..its culture and customs..The burial Tomb or 'Eleanor Isabel May' reminds us of the romantic tale of Munnar. Her young husband, the Manager of the then Finlay Tea Co. lost his lovely wife who had suffered from Cholera at the age of 23... A must visit spot for every traveller who really wants to experience and learn the history of Munnar and its Culture...

Awesome beautiful lake. Pedal boat ride around the lake is a lifetime experience. A Photographer's paradise. However carry raincoat and umbrella during rainy season. Because car parking area is bit far from the jetty. This is a must visit place and most beautiful in Munnar. A very romantic place for honeymoon couples.
