Mandalpatti, crowned at a height of 1600m, is situated at around 18 km from Madikeri, Coorg. Gradually evolving as one of the best tourist spots in Coorg, this fascinating trail is located en route to Abbey Falls.
Visited Coorg for a day and decided to drive up to Mandalpatti! The roads going uphill are a bit rough so a small vehicle would be a little uncomfortable but a regular sedan or an SUV would be easy to drive up to the top. From the top, you can get a offroading SUV for about INR 750 per person which takes you to a point in Mandalpatti which has a splendid 360 degree view once you climb a small hilltop after the Offroading experience. The scenery is breathtaking especially in the evening when the fog starts covering the valleys! A must see location if you visit Coorg! One or two days are sufficient to see all of Coorg!

In all the waterfalls in and around coorg, this is the least crowded, clean, scenic & one of the few fall's where we can take a dip in the water safely (no changing rooms though). Bit hard to reach by sedan, hatchback(manageable with suv or bike). Make sure to carry extra clothes if you are visiting this place (after seeing it, most probably you will take a plunge in the water ). Note: Don't enter into the water below the falls(don't know why, locals advise. ).

Visited this place on 31st December 2020. A huge rocky hill covered by mist and having a temple of Shiva at its base. It was fun to scale the rocks to a certain height and feel the mist air. Recommended for Adventurists, couples, families and just about anyone. However please note to respect the temple premises and not litter.

The golden Temple or the Namdroling monastery is a lovely place with 3 temples. The largest temple has monks studying there. The architecture and paintings on the walls is amazing. The monks living quarters are right there and they are hardly perturbed with the large number of tourists visiting them. It is on the way to Madikeri and is a must visit.

The Raja Tombs are group of three unique monuments that belong to the Hindu kings and queens built during the early 1800’s. The three tombs contain Lord Shiva images inside and worshiped like we do so in a temple.

Its in side the Madikeri fort campus. It has some olden days articles and materials. Can maintain in a better way to make it attractive.
