Kedah (Malay pronunciation: [kəˈdɑh]; Jawi: قدح), also known by its honorific Darul Aman or "Abode of Peace", is a state of Malaysia, located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. The state covers a total area of over 9,000 km², and it consists of the mainland and Langkawi. The mainland has a relatively flat terrain, which is used to grow rice. Langkawi is an archipelago of islands, most of which are uninhabited. Kedah was called Kadaram (Tamil: கடாரம்; kadāram) by ancient and medieval Tamil people and Syburi (Thai: ไทรบุรี; RTGS: Sai Buri) by the Siamese when it was under their influence.

There are a lot of steps to climb but its worth it. First waterfall is pleasant to look at. Then walk up more steps for 20 mins to next waterfall/rock pools is excellent. Bring swimming togs. Free of charge to enter. Only rm2 parking at entrance. Toilets and simple shops onsite.

One of the oldest mosques in Malaysia; parking could be congested during peak prayer times and festive seasons; a chosen place for newlyweds photography; and a very serenity place for Muslims to pray.

Is a very good place for recreation. You can go jogging, have a picnic, or do other activities like kayaking, archery, etc. I always enjoy watching the sunset there. It's so peaceful and enjoyable.

A beautiful beach this time of year. The beach was clean, as was the water. The water felt cooler here than the northern end of the island, which is nice. Less crowded here than Pantai Cenang

Tired of lukewarm seawater & pools, we stopped off for a dip at this waterfall today. Jackpot! Cool water temp that is lovely and refreshing to swim in. To top it off, we were surrounded by a tribe of monkeys while swimming so we got to watch them close up - very cute!!! Lovely deep pool to swim in, blue green fresh water and great view up to the top of the falls. Highly recommend this as a stop off if you are driving around Langkawi.
