My birth place and such a beautiful drive any time of the year with lots of scenery, places to stop and taste the wonderful fruit and goodies along the way. Fruit Loop is a joy to go on. All the way from Hood River to Odell, to Parkdale, Dee and back to Hood River and seeing the majestic beauty of The Hood just about wherever you drive. Takes my breath away every time I see it.

Columbia River Gorge

The Columbia River Gorge, a 75-mile canyon through the Cascades, is a broad, picturesque river with water-controlling dams.

We saw the Columbia River Gorge from Bonneville Dam to Troutdale. We loved all of our stops : The Bonneville Dam, the Fish Hatchery, Multnomah Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Latourell Falls and Vista House. The other falls were unreachable in June 2018 because the road and the complete area around those falls was closed due to a forest fire in 2017.

We stopped at on our way out of Hood River. It's a very open and inviting place to visit, spend some time in the nice outdoor seating areas, peruse the shopping areas for great snacks and treats. They have a good selection of apples, pears and other seasonal produce plus jams, jellies, salad dressings, etc One of the best stops on the Fruit Loop, and I highly recommend.

My wife and I were staying in Hood River as part of our NW U.S road trip and we had identified FSBC as a place to visit. Full Sail offers a great range of awarding winning ales, it was a warm day and we were lucky to secure a table on the front patio with the balcony view. We ordered a couple of cheese soups and turkey sands - delicious. Not wishing to leave our balcony view table we ordered a couple more beers. In addition to the bar and restaurant, brewery tours are available free of charge. Well worth a visit.
