Fully licenced Brew Pub in beautiful country setting. We have a repurposed 1973 caravan bar and safari dining tent. Enjoy our seasonal beer range and wood fired pizzas in the hop garden. Family friendly, unique NZ experience.
Good beer tasting and a lovely setup. We unfortunately went on a rainy day so the outdoor seating was not as pleasant as if it had been sunnier but service and experience was still good despite weather. We both preferred the Garden of Eden Farmhouse ale best. We also split the Brezel (soft pretzel with olive oil and mustard) and Brew grain crackers and baked Camembert. The crackers and cheese was the BEST! They really use every bit of the grain used in brewing that they can and it is so tasty! Grounds are also kid friendly and we saw plenty of people bring theirs.

Come visit the Zeffer Cider Taproom & Bar and try everything from our original Crisp Apple Cider to the cult class Apple Crumble Cider to limited seasonal releases. You can fill your own flagon, send cider home or simply enjoy a flight of cider in the sun overlooking our orchard. Help yourself to the delicious selection of deli foods in our fridge and larder to create a DIY picnic or platter.
Sweet place for a cider and beer. Kids loved the funky non alcoholic drinks. Would recommend for a casual drink and catch up on the lawn

Te Mata Peak is simply stunning. I've driven to the peak several times and it's a great experience to take in the wider Hawkes Bay. If you drive right to the top then it's suitable for people with impaired mobility although they need to be able to walk up a short steep gradient for the best views from the trig.

What a fantatsic market. So much to see and eat!! From breads, cheeses, fruits, veges, pastries, coffees, meats, preserves, plants - everything and more!! There were a couple of singers entertaining the crowd, people with blankets having picnics - a really amazing vibe. Such a fantastic way to spend the morning. We were there visiting for the weekend and had to repack our car to fit all our purchases in!!

Back in 2003 Geoff was sick of getting home from the supermarket with bad tasting olives. So with a business partner he started to make his own, with olives grown right here in New Zealand. They made naturally fermented olives in a bucket at the back door, then the garage, then hired premise and finished up building this Olivery in 2004. Today Geoff sends the products to markets, retailers, supermarkets and restaurants all over New Zealand and across the globe. A range of awesome condiments sits alongside the olive products. Now the business is on a mission; “Condiments to make life better” Our customers say it all: “Stunning products” “Super yum” “Your olives are the BEST” “A highlight of our trip “
Friendly staff, wide range of olive products. Great tasting olive oil. Good option if you want to try something different from a wine tasting

Situated on red metal soils in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, Abbey Winery & Brewery is a boutique 'Single Estate' Winery owned and operated by the Haworth family. Abbey wines have an exclusive focus on producing smaller volumes of hand-picked ultra premium quality wine. The winery/brewery itself is a spectacular sight. Architecturally designed, this winery is our unique interpretation of a Gothic abbey.
After I ordered a pizza on this very busy Sunday afternoon I sat at my table when Issac came over to ask what I was waiting on. It had been about a half hour & I mentioned this; on enquiring about single wine tastings being unavailable (was considering buying a bottle of syrah) he said for me he would attend to it. A generous sample arrived, plus after a short time he was back asking if all was okay. I salute you Issac, in NZ genuine & decent service is rare, because of you I shall recommend the Abbey to many others. Thank for your attention ☺️

Pekapeka Wetlands locates in SH2 so you would surely pass it if you drive between Wellington and Napier. It is a great point to stop in the way. Comparing to some other spots, it has a big sign and easy to find. It is not too big but nice enough for a walk. you can see quite a lot of birds other than the plants and wetlands. I must say it is more beautiful than I expected. If we had more time, I would explore more inside. Worth to stop there for a lovely walk if the weather is good!
