A small fishing village until the 20th century, Gdynia was rapidly built into Poland’s largest and busiest sea port after World War I. As a result, it’s mainly a very modern city. The most significant older attraction is the 13th-century St. Michael the Archangel Church. Two museum ships in the harbor, a destroyer and a frigate, are also popular with visitors. Gdynia has a thriving cultural life and in September hosts the annual Polish Film Festival, sometimes called the “Polish Cannes.”

A great place for a walk and spending your free time. Near the sea and beach there is a vast forest park, inside which there are historical , military facilities. There are cliffs here , which are a great place to enjoy views . The proximity of nature and a nice place to relax, and those beautiful views with great landscape. The high cliff located here is the most photographed fragment of Gdynia and a really charming place. A place that you must enter in your plan for visiting the city of Gdynia.

Pier in Gdynia Orłowie is about 180 m long and now is a pier promenade. The first pier was established here in 1924 and was 115 m Five years later it was rebuilt and extended to 430 m so that it could also serve as a haven for coastal shipping vessels. The construction materials used in the exploded at that time a wooden pier in Gdynia. After World War II the pier was destroyed in a storm, and reduced it to its present length, ie 180 meters from the pier on the right we see the most advanced part of Holmes
I walked through Rwdlowo woods and along the beach to reach Orlowo pier. Although the paths through the woods require watching and the signage is minimal, the walk along the beach was very relaxing but slow going. Both the woods and the beach were among the highlights of my stay in Gdansk. Three odd feature of that walk were: firstly, seeing evidence of fires lit using forest wood on the beach and people scrambling through the fragile root systems of the cliff side trees; secondly, the woods are full of birds (woodpeckers... etc) and animals (I even saw a boar and her piglets feasting of windfall apples near where I was staying); thirdly, innumerable couples hold photo sessions after their wedding near the pier... which is either endearing or annoying depending on your point of view!

The Riviera Center is the leading shopping and entertainment center in Pomerania. Cutting-edge solutions were utilized in the Center's architecture and design, resembling the French Riviera. The Riviera Center is the leading shopping and entertainment center in Pomerania. Cutting-edge solutions were utilized in the Center's architecture and design, resembling the French Riviera. Numerous playgrounds, distinctive seating spots, fountain area as a resting venue, as well as frequent events and attractions, make shopping - both on your own and with your family - a pleasant and relaxing experience. The Center offers attractive and spacious interiors, market leaders' stores and local entrepreneurs' shops, cozy cafés and bars, countless services and modern technologies. Interesting events are organized to galvanize visitors' time. The Center is distinguished not only by its size and adopted solutions, but also a rich set of tenants.
Large shopping center located approx. 500 - 700 mtr from the City Hall with tens of shops, cinema and excellent bars / restaurants where you can really enjoy good food with family and charge your batteries for further shopping. The place is very clean, safe and well maintained. There is a huge 3 level car park under the mall (on the right side) and conventional on the left side and outside as well. Tip: try to use the right one instead of the left which is always very busy because of Auchan supermarket located above. I would also not suggest to use car park outside if you bought a lot of things (long distance to walk).
