Fox Creek Wines is an iconic, award winning winery located in McLaren Vale, South Australia. With a rich heritage in crafting fine regional wines since 1994, Fox Creek Wines portfolio ranges from Sparkling white through to Shiraz and includes exciting Italian varietals. Our commitment is to cultivate a unique wine brand that embodies the qualities of craftsmanship, innovation, consistency and authenticity. We invite you to visit our historic 19th century stone Cellar Door cottage, conveniently located 45 kilometres south of Adelaide, between the villages of McLaren Vale and Willunga on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The expansive grassed areas surrounded by flower beds, gum trees and of course vineyards, allow visitors to find their own tranquil spot from which to enjoy a view of the cottage, the Fox Creek winery and our iconic wine region, McLaren Vale.
Fox Creek Winery is my favorite winery in McLaren Vale. Their Vixen Sparkling Shiraz and other wines are excellent and I always use them for functions and entertaining.

Take a short stroll or horse tram ride over the wooden causeway that connects the mainland at Victor Harbor to Granite Island Recreation Park. Enjoy the coastal scenery and discover the island's interesting history along the Kaiki Walk or go fishing from the jetty, or causeway (no fishing from breakwater). You may even spot a southern right whale between June and October.
Granite Island was a highlight to visit in Victor Harbour. There is a designated walking trail, great views, sculptures and it is an easy walk, about 40 minutes or longer if you capture everything and take your time. Just do it it is so worth it.

Coriole Vineyards was founded by Hugh and Molly Lloyd in 1967. Coriole is still owned by the Lloyds and is now managed by second and third-generation family members. The estate is situated in the undulating hills of the densely planted McLaren Vale region just within sight of the sea and less than an hour from Adelaide. The original farmhouses were built in 1860 and are now the epicentre of the garden and cellar door at the winery. The original vineyards were planted in 1919. Shiraz is the great tradition of McLaren Vale going back over 150 years, and is the major variety planted on the estate. Coriole has been an Australian pioneer of Sangiovese and Italian varieties since 1985.

Hugh Hamilton Wines is a 'must see' winery in McLaren Vale. Set on a ridge line it provides nearly 360 degree 'stunning' views of the McLaren Vale wine region. The wines are all estate grown and include the main stream varietals such as Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot including some of the more rare and unusual varieties including Sangiovese, Tempranillo and Saperavi. All wines have fun names and include The Trickster, The Scallywag, The Rascal, The Villain, The Ratbag, The Mongrel, The Scoundrel, The Floozie, The Oddball, and The Drama Queen. Visitors from overseas are all welcome.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Hugh Hamilton Wines today. Had an informative and enjoyable tasting session. This place obviously enjoys making wine and it’s such a great outlook over the vineyard.

Horseshoe Bay is a protected swimming beach which is very popular with families during the summer holidays. You can fish from the Jetty, watch the kids play in the playground or go for a swim in this sheltered bay. Why not follow the rugged cliff around the coast and explore the little bays and beaches. Horseshoe Bay has been a favoured destination for visitors to the Fleurieu Peninsula for a long time come and experience this very popular destination. During the months from June - October each year the cliffs surrounding Horseshoe Bay provide a great vantage point for spotting Southern Wright Whales as the protected coastal waters become a whale nursery. Or you may spot Seals and Dolphins in the protected bay while enjoying a picnic or riding along the Encounter Bikeway that passes through Horseshoe Bay. The historic township of Port Elliot is situated on the coastline between the towns of Victor Harbor and Middleton. While your in Port Elliot take the time to explore The Strand area with its many historic buildings, cafes, restaurants and shops.
A great place for families to relax at this very safe beach with the Surf Life Saving Club right next door.

The Cellar Door & home of Paxton is Landcross Farm Homestead. This 1800's sheep property boasts beautiful views of the valley and is dotted with historic buildings including the original shearing shed, which is now our tasting room. We can tailor tastings &/or functions to suit any occasion.
Beautiful cellar door in an amazing setting, the service and wines were wonderful! We would highly recommend an afternoon in the sun while sharing a bottle of white

The 1st official nudist beach in Australia (good on ya SA). The stark cliffs and curving bay make this a unique beach. Clearly signed 'nude' bathing areas, and plenty of space for 'non-nude' beach-goers. Definitely worth a look! An easy drive from Adelaide, and accessible by Metro too.
