Great view of the hanging houses and the Parador. A must visit when you visit Cuenca. From the bridge you get a good feeling of how high perched the old town of Cuenca actually is.

The route was well signposted and gave an acurate estimate of distance and time. Quiet a hard walk up but should be no problem for reasonably fit person. The views from the top over Cuenca are quite breathtaking. Can also be accessd by car.

A wonderfull walking experience at the Callejones de las Majadas. Very spectacular rock formations that you walk through. Roughly 2 kms long, relatively narrow through the rock formations and easy to navigate with a well posted directional route, Extra-ordinary rock formations. Easy to find, roughly 2 kms outside Las Majadas & signposted. I have also visited the famous ' Cuidad entcantada' which is about 10 kms away but was more impressed with this experience.

It may be at the end of a road to nowhere but it's worth going there. Delightfully well preserved medieval town with beautiful plazas, town hall, imposing buildings (not just the Hanging Houses which it's most famous for) and a Gothic style (just the front bit) Cathedral which is huge as it was build on what originally was a Mosque. All of these are a must see but apart from the obvious history the town had become famous for Art. There are a number of art galleries and museums. The largest is the Fundacion Antionio Peraz, based in an old convent over 4 floors it's heaving with contemporary art works. I'll leave it up to you to decided which bits you'll like but guaranteed it will be a talking point. Also worth a visit is the most famous hanging house which is the Museo de Arte Abstracto. You really need a couple of days here to see everything.

Parish of Our Lady of Light ( or church of St. Anthony ) is a building of the XVI -XVIII centuries on previous constructions . On the banks of Jucar , it has a harmonious and sober exterior with a beautiful plateresque . Inside it is a spectacular and richly decorated rococo baroque religious sculptures and valuable as the patron saint of the city and images of Easter Week.

We almost left Cuenca without visiting this church. They were preparing a weeding but they were very kind to let us visit. It is very simple but impressive. It takes a good effort to climb back the stairs from the sanctuary back to Cuenca

The first skyscraper in history, of medieval origin. Original construction on the precipice settled with 13 or 14 floors facade and four or five on the other.

The views from this mirador is worth the walk up and the view across the valley is very interesting and gives a great view of the fissure that separates the town from the country.
