Been here a couple of times now and there’s a drink for every pallet, put this together with excellent company and atmosphere plus not to expensive and it’s a great night out for the real ale lover.Other pubs can learn from this.

Welcome Welcome to Glebe Farm, a family friendly visitor attraction set in the picturesque village of Astbury, south Cheshire. Family friendly There’s something for the whole family at Glebe Farm; coffee shop, farm shop, butcher’s, fishmonger’s and an interesting selection of independently owned shops and businesses, nestled in the farm’s barns and outbuildings. There’s a children’s play area and tractor rides at weekends and during the summer. The stars! And not forgetting the star attraction – the animals; Alpaca, Donkeys, Ponies, Goats and more, which are kept in the paddocks, fields and pens around the farm. All with free entry and free parking. We hope you enjoy your visit.
We really enjoy visiting Glebe Farm for produce. The safety procedures put in place during the Covid 19 pandemic have been excellent. At all times I have felt completely safe. The queuing system has been clearly marked out and orderly. Hand sanitiser at entry is appreciated. The butcher calling people in ensures safe distancing. The butcher is a real bonus, the meat is so fresh, good quality and tasty. I can recommend the pork chops, best ever sausages with hardly any fat and the most delicious cooked meats. The farm shop has beautiful organic vegetables, eggs, milk and cheese. I really appreciated that they were selling rice, pasta and flour at the beginning of lockdown when these items were in short supply in the supermarkets. We look forward to returning when more of the units will be open.

Astbury Mere Country Park occupies the site of a former sand quarry, just off Newcastle Road in Congleton, Cheshire. The site is just ten minutes walk from the town centre, with paths linking into the local countryside. It is right on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
We stopped here for a picnic to break up a journey. This is a fantastic place to spend an hour or two, with a car park (50p charge), toilets, information centre, great cafe and wonderful lake area which you can walk all the way around. This is a great place for walking a dog, and the cafe is also dog friendly, with a large outdoor terrace. Well worth a visit.
