Excellent trail from Cong Abbey to Clonbur. Route clearly signposted. Possible to take a detour to White Island which in total was about 15km from Cong to Clonbur and back. Great facility.

This was a fitting tribute to the two people (John Wayne & maureen o'hara)who put the village of cong on the map with their portrayal of Sean Thornton and Mary Kate danagher in the John Ford film " The quiet man".

This small stone circle was just down the street from the B&B we stayed at. We stopped by on our way out and had a quiet walk in. It is in the middle of a cattle field, so watch your step when you walk up! You climb over the little wall by the sign and it's a short walk up, you can see it from the road. The spot is truly lovely and the feeling there is one that implores silence. It feels ancient and mystical. The trees there are beautiful. The stone circle is fenced off, but you get a great look. We didn't stay but 10 minutes or so, but I'm so glad we took the time to check it out.
