Home to some of the best beaches in America, Clearwater is a great family beach destination. Sure, it’s in Florida, but it’s not Giant Rodent Florida (a.k.a. Orlando) or Crazy Spring Break Florida (a.k.a. Fort Lauderdale). Rather, it’s Calm, Old-Fashioned Florida… which is something worth seeing. Oh, and the weather’s outstanding.

With hundreds of things to do on Clearwater Beach, the main attraction is still pretty much its near-perfect beach (USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013). Beautiful white sand and clear, shallow water make this beach an ideal playground for families.
Spent a winter day in February walking, jogging, tanning, orgeous white sand, spacious, spent quiet time near the rocks by Opal Sand Resort's beautiful outdoor bar, the perfect spot to watch the sun set. No matter where you are in Clearwater it seems everything you need is right there.

Pier 60 in Clearwater Beach is a 'Center Point' of tourists activities in the area. That is, besides Clearwater Beach itself. The pier sort of divides the beach into two parts - the southern and the northern, and the Pier is right in between. Fishermen find it just the right spot to fish, pelicans love it too, and in the evenings the pier is also a perfect place to watch some beautiful sunsets over the Gulf. Pier 60 and the spacious playgrounds around , now named Pier 6o Park, are actually very attractive any time of the day - there's a snack bar there, a souvenir shop, playgrounds for kids , and for those who want to explore the area more there's also the Visitor Information Center, where one can get all kind of useful info about this area, including some regular events on Pier 60. There are a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Long Live Pier 60! ...

It's not as if I am a passionate aficionado of cigars. But some of my friends are. Being around the area in the afternoon, I walked into this lounge, and the dim-red-light interior, wide comfortable couches and informative decor were quite intriguing and welcoming, let alone a well placed bar with all possible drinks. And of course, a rich collection of all kinds of cigars, waiting for customers. I liked the relaxed, quiet ambiance of this place. The young staff were very friendly, and they showed me around in the most hospitable manner. It must be a very hip place to have a good drink, a flavorful cigar, a good friend to talk to - all this I hope will come back soon, when we are back to normal, socializing times. There is also an outdoors area, on that day it was getting ready to be set in front of the entrance to the lounge, that opens up to Mandalay Avenue, with all its tourist bustle during high seasons in Clearwater Beach. Parking is available either on the street or in a parking garage behind the Pelican Walk Plaza , in the center of which Fusion Cigar Lounge is located.

Clearwater Beach Visitor Information Center can successfully compete with many info centers alike on many aspects. First of all, its location is totally perfect: it is right near the Clearwater Beach, Pier 60 and Pier 60 Park (a very nice and spacious park!), close to all hotels, restaurants, shops and other businesses in the area, close to the public transportation stops, to the ever exciting marina, and to the Clearwater Memorial Causeway. Most of all, despite its visibly tiny dimensions, this visitor information center is an invaluable source of useful info on all-things-useful-practical-and-fun in Clearwater and actually, on many other sites in different towns and cities of Central Florida. They have tons of free printed brochures, magazines and various types of maps in this center. And the main thing is their superb service: it is friendly, personable and very helpful.

Great place for a run or bike. Trail is long and goes through parks and you can take it to the Clearwater causeway.

Located in the heart of Clearwater, Westfield Countryside is the area's premier destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. With a wide variety of 150 shops, Westfield Countryside is also the home to Clearwater's state-of-the-art 12-screen movie theatre, a restaurant collection that includes P.F. Chang's and BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, and an ice rink that's fun for the whole family.
Consisting of JC Penny( with Sephora) Macy’s and Dillard’s and then some smaller retailers amongst. An ice rink , little train and other play areas, plenty of parking and toilets. Nice size shopping mall. We went on 4th November and they were just starting to put up Christmas stuff.
