The foods we sampled were delicious-- especially the pumpkin latte and the soft matcha ice cream served in a fish-shaped cone! A fun outing! You should go!

Did Ferry Building Food Tour without Alcatraz on 2/22/20. Varied food selections to try from the Ferry Building and Saturday Farmers’ Market. All selections were tasty, and our guide, Carrie Sullivan, was super knowledgeable about both the Ferry Building’s and Farmers’ Market histories, and details about the vendors and the food choices we were offered. 2 hour tour provided delightful and ample portions and will keep us coming back to enjoy this local “foodie haven” for years to come. Excellent way to introduce out of town guests to the various SF cuisine options besides those at Fisherman’s Wharf. Looking forward to trying Edible Excursions East Bay next.

I booked tickets for Alcatraz, but I had to cancel due to Covid 19. After waiting almost two months for Hornblower to refund my payment, I eventually raised a dispute through my credit card company. The credit card company has now refunded the money to my account. My comments are very similar to other reviews, absolutely no customer service! I understand that companies are having difficulties due to Covid 19, with staffing levels and cash flow etc. But even under these circumstances, I don't think it should take in excess of two months to refund my payment. When I booked the tickets, they took an immediate automated payment! If you want to visit Alcatraz, you have to use Hornblower, because they are the company that operate the ferries. But I would be careful before you part with your money. If you can, book as late as possible!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about aspects of Chinese culture and San Francisco lore. We snaked through the maze of streets stopping frequently to have a bite of this or that. Some tidbits were given to us and in some cases we had choices. The highlight was a Tea Tasting where we found out about the medicinal properties of teas, how to brew authentic Chinese tea, and got a chance to buy some. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.
