The Foundation at Hearst Castle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to sustain Hearst Castle, conserve the priceless art collection, and inspire underserved middle school students via incredible youth programs. We raise funds through donation, membership, and a variety of unique experiences and charitable events at Hearst Castle, including swims in the iconic Neptune and Roman pools.

Visit our tasting room and enjoy a $12 flight of our sustainably produced hand crafted wines. Our production is small and our grapes are sourced from up and down the Central Coast. Pinot heavy, but we have a total of 7 different varieties. We have bocce ball, corn hole and outdoor seating if you want to purchase a glass or bottle and hang out. Picnic, dog and kid friendly.

Overlooking a breathtaking bay, beside Highway 1 and across from the iconic Hearst Castle, our San Simeon tasting room is a must-visit destination. Located in a larg, cliffside building with soaring ceilings, plentiful seating, and an accompanying cafe, our tasting room is the perfect place to stop on your way along the Pacific Coast Highway. Enjoy excellent wine and a bite to eat inside or at our dog-friendly outdoor tables with sweeping views of the bay.
If you go to see Hearst Castle, be sure to drive into the tiny village of San Simeon. (Not the commercial town with all the motels 2 miles south.) This is the original port where all Hearst's art pieces were unloaded and transported up the mountain to the "castle." Right downtown, just north of the pier, is the Hearst Ranch Winery tasting room. The $20 tasting fee includes a selection of five wines and is waived with a $30 purchase. The wines range in price from $22 to $40 (2019). All are very good. An excellent food truck provides a variety of very good meals: Tacos, Burgers, Fried Calamari, Nachos, Shrimp Salad, Quesadillas, and the best Cuban Sandwich I've ever had ($15). Meals may be taken inside the spacious tasting room or outside on a bluff overlooking the ocean. My party found the Glacier Ridge Chardonnay {Santa Lucia Highlands) and the Chileno Tempranillo (Paso Robles) especially attractive.

At Laetitia, we are passionate about producing premium estate wines that showcase the distinctive qualities of the Arroyo Grande Valley. Located in Southern San Luis Obispo County, our coastal property overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Originally known for Méthode Champenoise sparkling wines, we continue to produce seven unique Sparkling Wines. Currently, we are just as well known for our handcrafted Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and more. Made from fruit grown in the ideal coastal conditions of the Arroyo Grande Valley AVA, Laetitia Estate wines encapsulate the moments, sites, and people who pour their lives into ensuring the excellence of every sip.
As always, the sparkling wines are delicious. I was very impressed with how they set up their curbside pickup and check-in for guests who came for a glass of wine. The friendly staff, always so, went out of their way to accomodate my wife when she stumbled getting out of our vehicle. Ice before she even asked, followed by a first aid kit. Above & beyond!

Talley Vineyards produces highly regarded estate grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Arroyo Grande and Edna Valleys. Talley Vineyards also produces Bishop's Peak wines which reflect the best of the broader growing region.
They met us at the check in with our first glass of wine which we took with us on a mini tour. Then our table was all ready with the full tasting already poured and our cheese tray waiting. They were very attentive. The wine and the setting was great and the cheese tray was quite large. Will definitely go back!
