It’s a small winery with really great wine. Rich makes the tasting experience lots of fun. The other servers are also friendly and knowledgeable. I really enjoy the pairing of food and wine.

Sentivo (sen-tee- voh) Italian for “I felt” - Located in the heart of Fair Play, Ca, Sentivo represents the best of the Sierra Foothill wine region. El Dorado County wineries include some of the best wines in the state, Fair Play being one AVA you won't want to miss! Family is at the center of our winery and we operate in a way where everyone who visits is treated as such. Our signature toast here at Sentivo sums up our philosophy: “To friends who are family and family who are friends.” We are a family business that is built on a passion for wine, the beauty of our vineyard and our love for each other. We purchased our Fair Play vineyard in 2010 with vines that were planted in 1999. In 2011, we harvested our first vintage of Estate Syrah and Petite Sirah. Sentivo has over 8 varietals and source our grapes from our vineyards and our Fair Play AVA neighbors.

Enjoy the beauty of fine wines in an elegant setting. E16 is currently only open for curbside pickup due to COVID-19 limitations. Our new hours are Saturday - Sunday 12pm - 4pm
I’m a wine lover. Not just any wine but quality wine. And the tasting room experience is what rounds it out for me. Prior to Covid-19, E16 was always on my wine tasting stops. The staff were always professional, accommodating, ensuring no one is ever overlooked, even on their busiest days. Martin is my favorite. He’s humble, very good at explaining the origin of the crop and harvest, an all around gentleman. Chardonnay and Viognier are my two top whites. E16 makes a very nice and elegant Chardonnay and Viognier. Both, hard to find in the Foothills. I’m fussy about my Pinots. I lived in Sonoma County for 6 years and had access to some amazing Pinots, as well as Chardonnay and Viognier. E16 brings the class and quality I’m looking for in wine, in addition to a great tasting room experience. Can’t wait to see the sign go up “Open for Tasting”. Until then, I will SIP enjoying my wine club and extra E16 purchases.

We are not just a winery. We are a country club for wine drinkers. We have stunning views and a modern tasting room with seated tasting and we bring the wines to you in a flight. Sitting on our deck is like sitting on the beach next to a sea of grape vines. Great wine starts on the vine. We employee the best farming practices and don't cut corners in our farming, wine making or tasting experience.
Truthfully wasn't sure what to expect the first time I went here. The view from the road does not give you a hint of what lies ahead. I love the "aha" moment when you enter the inviting tasting room to see several cool spaces with a fireplace and vineyard views. Fair Play has lots of great wineries but I love this unique tasting experience seated with cheese pairing but able to taste at your own paste. Great wine and super knowledgeable tasting staff.

El Dorado county is so beautiful, and the wine country is up and coming. Most of the wineries provide big California reds. By accident (via the Priority Wine Pass), we found Somerset and its amazing wineries. Shadow Ranch stood out because the wine maker shapes his wines in French styles. The GSM blend is outstanding. The tasting room is subtle, relaxed and in a building from the 1800's. Kara, our tasting room host, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. A hidden gem in the Sierra Foothills.
