Taste Fine Wines & Bourbons

Do not miss this quaint local wine and bourbon experience. We sat in the front window bay and this was the start of an enchanting evening. Mark and Jerry helped us select a flight of bourbon for one of us and great wines for the rest. After a day of Bourbon tasting on the The Bourbon Trail, being able to try something new, was a real treat! Mark and Jerry’s enthusiasm and passion for each of the selections was greatly appreciated. We ended up buying two of the three bottles we tasted. Even though we are from out of town, they make you feel like locals and long term friends. This was our last in Kentucky and we couldn’t have picked a better place to finish off a wonderful trip here!! DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE!!

Goodwood Brewing

Goodwood Brewing is a production brewery located in the heart of downtown Louisville. The brewery is dedicated to making beers that have been touched by wood; whether in reclaimed oak casks once used to house bourbon, red wine, and brandy or seasoned on oak, poplar or ash. Goodwood’s "shade-grown beers" are all touched by the natural gradations of reclaimed casks and other wood types for flavorful expressions that are unique to Goodwood. Just like the bourbon Kentucky is famous for, all of Goodwood’s beers begin with limestone water. The gents behind Goodwood are some of Louisville’s longest-serving brewing veterans, running production breweries here since 2001. Goodwood Brewing Co. offers brewery tours, private event rental space, and live music, yoga and other weekly & monthly events in the taproom. The 200 year old building with a fully renovated Taproom is conveniently located at the edge of NuLu, and it's the perfect blend of historic, industrial and cool!

A freaking great ‘non traditional’ bluegrass group. So talented and entertaining. Bring them back Goodwood!

Gravely Brewing Co

Gravely Brewing Co is a family-owned and operated music brewery based in Louisville, Kentucky. Founded by Nathaniel Gravely and brewed by Cory Buenning, the twosome and their wives (who are sisters) Holly Gravely and Kelly Buenning, are driven by equal parts fresh beer and live music. We strive to create brews that push the boundaries of craft beer's creativity while executing classic beers to perfection. German heritage runs deep both in our owner's family tree and the historic site on which our brewery sits, which suits us just fine because we love brewing classic German recipes. When Head Brewer Buenning isn't doing classic German brews, he's often hanging out in hoptopia making inventive IPAs true to his West Coast background.

This brewery has the proposal to mix good music and good beer! My guess, they are doing a great work! Second time I went there and tried an Irish red, porter and a stout, all three great beers. The Mayan food is also good, try the tacos with smoked salmon, great tacos!!!

Rabbit Hole Distillery

Reviewed By mymilesandsmiles - New York City, United States

Rabbit Hole has won several awards, including winning best straight bourbon in show, double gold at the New York World Wine and Spirits competition. Its straight bourbon is the only one made with barley as secondary flavoring grain, and it is made with 70 percent corn, 10 percent malted wheat, 10 percent honey malted barley and 10 percent malted barley. This was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the tasting experience was extremely engaging. Plus, they had gin on their tasting menu too). The building is beautiful, and the bar upstairs offers amazing views of Louisville I would highly recommend going on a tour of this facility. I’m sure I’ll be back!

This place needs to be added to your “To Do List” while in Louisville. It is very unique and the tour takes a time travel through prohibition. There craft spirits are very unique and tasty. They do not have bourbon yet, but will have in a few months. The bar is very uniquely decorated. Well worth the time and money!!
