Petoskey, sitting on the shores of Lake Michigan, has been a popular vacation spot for decades. Earnest Hemingway spent the first 18 summers of his life sailing and fishing on nearby Walloon Lake, and the area features prominently in several of his stories. The Little Traverse History Museum shows how the Petoskey area was a formative influence on young Hemingway. The area is also a well known winter destination, with three popular ski resorts featuring everything from dog sled rides to tubing.

We specialize in small group tours of Petoskey area wineries. Reserve a handful of seats in our stylish 8-passenger van, or book the whole van for a private group experience. We’ll chauffeur you to several wineries to taste wines unique to our region. Here vintners blend cold-hardy grapes with classic European varieties, yielding distinct flavors only northern climates can produce.

The four of us had a pleasant afternoon outside sampling our cider flights. It wasn't busy so we could take our time studying the board and carefully choosing our pours. My favorite was the Apple Blueberry. It was a perfect outing for a fall day. Next time, I will bring some snacks to share.

Located on 80 beautiful acres in Petoskey, Michigan, Maple Moon Sugarbush and Winery offers a little slice of heaven for its visitors. Maple Moon is a wonderful addition to the Petoskey area. Family owned, the maple trees and facility are open for tours and the Peterson's are delightful and welcoming. They sell their products at an on-location store, which includes their own super premium maple ice cream (which is world class) with their own 100% pure maple syrup. They have numerous grades of syrup, all made on the premises, as well as jam, salsa, home-made maple granola and other specialties. Their latest addition is nothing shy of amazing. They have become America's First and ONLY maple winery, with nine 2015 vintages available. It doesn't get any better than this. The Peterson's do it all themselves, and it is a family labor of love. It's wonderful that they have settled in Petoskey, so we can all fall in love with Maple Moon. Tour the sugary and sample delectable treats such as maple syrup, maple candy, maple ice cream, maple root beer and maple wine.
What a great find! The ladies in both the tasting area and the store were very helpful and friendly.

A 66 year tradition of family and farming is the motivation for Walloon Lake Winery. The farm and winery are located on 36 acres outside Petoskey Michigan just 1 mile from beautiful Walloon Lake. We are a modern winery focused on creating the very best wines made from the seven cold hardy grape varieties grown on the farm. Our beautiful winery, pavilion and vineyard would be a beautiful location to host your wedding or a special event. Please contact us if you want more information.
We really enjoyed our visit to Walloon Lake Winery. The building was beautiful, and they're in the process of building a new facility for production during the winter. We sat outside and soaked in the scenery, and it was lovely. The cheeseboard we ordered was also very good. We wound up buying some souvenirs, too :) They apparently also have a wine delivery program that you can sign up for. All in all we had a fun time.

This is one of my favorite wineries in Petoskey, and my husband and I try to visit whenever we are in the area. When we were in the area in July it was the day that a tornado went thru town, and this place lost electricity, so we were unable to do a tasting. We made sure to make the time to visit during this last trip though. This winery is not doing actual "testings" at this time, due to Covid. Patrons are instructed to purchase their glass of wine at the counter and then take it to their table to enjoy. Having said that they aren't doing actual tastings, our server allowed us to try a couple of different kinds before making our final decision. This was great, as it's very hard for me to decide on just one kind, and if I'm going to drink a whole glass it's best if it's something I really like. After I got my wine, and my husband got his beer, we settled at a table along with our son and his friend, and we nibbled on some pretzels while we had our drinks. Every time I visit this winery I say that I am not going to buy any bottles to take with me (the liquor store down the road from my home stocks their wines), but every time I end up purchasing half a case. This time was no different.

Enjoy the afternoon relaxing with a glass of wine on our 60 foot covered patio overlooking 22 acres of beautiful hills and rolling countryside. Take home a unique gift for that special friend. Wine tasting daily Monday - Saturday. A Labor of Love From Our Family To Yours, Petoskey Farms Vineyard & Winery
We had a short wait for a table spent chilling in Adirondack chairs overlooking rolling hills and a lavender garden. We began with a five-flight wine tree and wood-fired pizza (gf cauliflower crust available) and added two more taster-size samples. Our server, Tracy, was wonderful-actually everyone we encountered was very friendly. We were there on a Thursday to enjoy live music on the deck, tastefully done. Wonderful night.

We visited on New Years Eve 2020 for an early dinner and were not disappointed. We reserved a fire pit area and had beers and a light dinner and everything was very good. Would probably visit again when in the Petoskey area. Nice atmosphere too even during the winter.

We've been touring the Petoskey Wine Trail since they started, and was pleasantly surprised that this new winery was missed! Beautiful grounds, fantastic owners, views to die for. We even noticed they have Cornhole available! You could spent an entire afternoon outside the layers of seating and enjoy your drinks!! They also offered free popcorn. A definite stop! Highly recommend!
