The Montana Winery offers a taste of the Last Best Place – Montana, with a hint of French Style! The grapes are sourced out of the Colombia Valley, Washington, but take on the Montana attitude as we work our magic at Montana Winery. It starts with the careful choices of our French Vintner and the simple beauty and warmth of our Montana home. The Montana Winery is located in Missoula, a place where 5 valleys and 3 rivers intersect, forming a stunning backdrop full of recreational activities and of course the diverse cultural influences provided by the University of Montana.

Beer takes a backseat to style here, and definitely not in a bad way. With a name like it possesses, you have here a brewery who makes many nods to the intellect, to artistry and to great thinkers, based upon their artwork. I suppose with breweries becoming a virtual norm in the country and particularly in the west, and especially in college towns, you’ve got to find your niche. Imagine Nation does exactly that. Bravo! Their beers were, on average, delicious. And they’ve an advantage that is exploited considerably: the river. I’m guessing few places are better in Missoula for passing a summer day and evening. If I lived in Missoula this would be one of my go-to’s. There you have it.

Great place for some unique cocktails. The salt and pepper martini is amazing! Service was great. A good little spot to have a couple of drinks. Make a reservation as seating is limited.

A few dozen feet up the hill from the Lolo Creek Steakhouse, is this distillery and tasting room. Absolutely spectacular views, a great outdoor seating area to include fireplace, friendly and well-informed wait staff, and a great set of products and specialized cocktails. Definitely "plan our travels around visiting this place" when we are in the area next.

Glacier Distilling Company is a locally owned, small batch distillery located on the doorstep of Glacier National Park. All of our Montana spirits are hand crafted and hand bottled in The Whiskey Barn. Next time you’re wandering through, stop in for a sip of dew!
Not only is their offering mind-blowing, the atmosphere has charm. An all around delightful experience. Now, the choices are HARD since you’ll want to try nearly everything. One must pick strategically since by law they can only sell you 2 flights. I ended up buying: Bad Rock Rye Kirschwasser Daughter of the Sun Huckleberry Gin Huckleberry Liquor Little Cottonwood Bear Grass Those are my Montana souvenirs!! Note: MT law limits how many bottles they can sell per person per day. So you, too, may have to go a couple times or go to State Liquor Store.

Located in the Rattlesnake Valley, a mile south of the Rattlesnake Wilderness and Recreation Area, the 7.5 acre vineyard and winery are nestled on 21.5 acres with beautiful mountain views. Grizzlies can get here, and might have already visited. Long summer days give the French-American hybrid grapes the sunlight they need to ripen for the fall harvest. Big Sky Beekeepers' bees pollinate the St. Pepin grapes and produce light, sweet honey right here.
