We are talking about my favorite distillery here. It's been more then a year since I was last here, and it was worth the wait. Last time we went at night when it was crowded, yet I still had a blast. This time we chose to go during the afternoon. The two girls working we're nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend trying the Krupnick liquor. Since they introduced this Polish favorite, it has flown off their shelves. The vibe in the tasting room is a rustic farm look, which I totally dig. We we're even given a behind the scenes tour to see where the magic happens. With all this and more, I highly recommend this awesome place, and it's even more awesome crew.

The Barrel Factory

there's a lot going on in the old ward. Now we have the flag ship originators in the Barrel Factory which is being joined by other enterprises. Bur don't forget the trailblazers. I was blown away on other trips by this venue and they keep producing - adding a great brewery (Pressure Drop), Kombucha and Winery/Cidery. But the original distillery has been awarded medals for the whiskeys and who wouldn't doubt that award.

Flying Bison Brewing Company

I was on a planned trip to Buffalo New York, Breweries were on the top of my list. I reached out to owner Tim Hezog, with a response from Vinny Somogyi, tasting room manager. My email went out before my trip, regarding the brewery and some personal ideas touring Buffalo. Vinny offered a wealth of ideas as well making sure to stop by. My list included delicious mom and pop eateries, breweries, and nature hikes, all of what I was looking for. This was the first time I made an opinion of Vinny. Contact information to Bison brewing came from Cindy at the Niagara Visitor Center. In the brewing industry there is a brother and sisterhood code, help one another. This does not always hold true, for the most part it does. Vinny offered a list of breweries to visit. I left Eugene with some beers from three local breweries. The hospitality of Vinny was like a home brewing event, talking about Bisons beers, styles of beers, events which we both shared stories. The lineup of Bisons beers, well done. I was treated to a Barley Wine to come out within the next week. I did not taste any youngness or yeasty flavor, pour me a gallon :). One of the beers I shared was a Ninkasi Pilsner. Wow that started up memories. Vinny was at a beer conference here in Oregon August 1989. Vinny took away a bottle of Ninkasi Slimerian Beer and has it in a pristine keepsake. This reminded me of my favorite brewery, Oakshire here in Eugene Oregon, I have a first bottle of Watershed IPA. a keepsake. Thank you Jeff for your stay true to your beers.Vinny shared stories of sharing hops and yeast to other breweries when needed, remember a brother and sisterhood. When in Buffalo be sure to place Bison Brewing on your must do list. Thanks to all of the team members for your hospitality.

We offer tours of our distillery which is located in a beautifully-restored 1903-built former barrel factory. Our tasting room allows visitors to sample our spirits on their own or in cocktails which use house-made mixers and locally-brewed kombucha. Also located in the same building are Elevator Alley Kayak and Snowy Owl Kombucha.

We were looking for breweries to check out, and we saw that pressure drop brewing was located here. Did not realize that they shared a space and bar with Lakeward Spirits! How cool. We had a bit of beer and some of the liquor - everything was great! Ended up leaving with a 6-pack of our favorite beer and 3 bottles of liquor to take home. We also had really great service from the bartender and found the space very cool. Highly recommend you check this spot out!
