As Asia’s undisputed capital of cool, Singapore’s street food, luxury lifestyle options, and sci-fi–like architecture entrance visitors from the very beginning. Top attractions such as the futurist feel of Gardens by the Bay and the Marina Bay Sands casino symbolize the nation’s state of affluence.

Experience an array of Malay and Indian produce and delicacies at the Geylang Serai New Market in Singapore.
Had a great lunch at the hawker center, there are quite a number of food stalls selling Nasi Padang and a handful doing delicious briyani. We end up having nasi padang from 2 different stalls and a plate of chicken briyani from a stall nearest to us, only regret we should have ordered the mutton briyani. All in all, it was a delicious lunch. After lunch we went around to buy the delightful malay cakes or kueh kueh as it is known. There are afew of these stalls selling these kueh kueh. Bought some of it and it was wonderful, just like we had it in the old days.

Lau Pa Sat has a vast array of food stalls offering cuisines from around the world. The prices are very cheap, and the food was still very tasty. I would recommend seating in the middle of the market, as if you're on the outer ring you may be pestered by people trying to push their stall/dishes.

Arrived at satay street and was greeted immediately. Satay 7&8 showed me the menu, took my order, and got a seat for us all quickly and efficiently. We ordered the $26 set (10 chicken, 10 beef, 5 prawns) Food arrived at our table within about 10-12 mins, and tasted glorious! The whole experience was fantastic, and I’d recommend a visit to Satay Street to anybody visiting Singapore. We will be back before our trip is over!

Located right in the middle of the Central Business District, this hawker centre hosts many well-known food stores: e.g. Michelin 1 star Chicken Rice, Hock Lam Street Beef Noodles, Maxwell Fuzhou Oyster Cake etc. Delicious Local Food & Great Value for money! Gets very crowded & warm during peak hours though.

I have been visiting Lucky plaza since 1983 I think and it’s always been my favourite for good cheap shopping as well as hair cuts. It has grown and extended I think and I love the other side ION gold shopping as well. Taka jewellers is my favourite store there. I will be back this year once again for more shopping and food ( the basement eatery is excellent ) Last travel date was in Jan 2019 but unfortunately the drop box does not have that option so I have used the nearest month .... It won’t allow me to post without that field filled in ... sorry for that tho. Trip advisor please take note to allow range of dates or months. Thanks. June D
