A brilliant market with a flea market kind of vibe, with lots of secondhand and homemade things. Great vintage clothes selection, lots of different types of food. I particularly recommend Ron the coffee man, and the “pocket curry” place.

The Byron Community Market takes place all year round on every first Sunday of the month with additional markets in December and January. This popular market is one of the biggest markets in the Northern Rivers region and offers something for everyone with over 300 craft stalls, fantastic local musicians and delicious food and drinks. Everyone is welcome but please leave your dogs at home.
I’ll be planning future trips to ensure I get to this market. Excellent samosas, the muffin men pastries, both sweet and savoury were delicious. The cheese was some of the best i’ve tasted, good chai, fresh tomatoes and vege’s. It was a nice 45 minute walk from Byron, but for a big shop you’d need a car!

For 30 years this has been one of the biggest and best markets in Australia. In the middle of the village of Bangalow in the Showground once a month the market brings hundreds of stallholders together to provide a feast for the all of your senses. Food, craft, art, clothes... performers world class buskers and music.
Busy market as we were there the Sunday before Christmas, still easy to traverse. Parking managed well and minimal walking to markets if uneven ground and on a slope. Fantastic selection of stalls. Some hippy, many artistic, some beautiful quality. Something for everyone! Great variety of stalls. Great amount of food options available. Awesome coffee and great cold options! Highly recommend!
