Vietnam's bustling largest city sets the cultural and economic pace for the country. The former Saigon boasts charming French colonial architecture and wide boulevards, usually thronged and choked with traffic. Taxis are an option for seeing the sprawling city. The War Remnants Museum shows the Vietnam War through Vietnamese eyes. Don't miss the impressive Jade Emperor Pagoda. Go to the frenetic Ben Thanh Market for food, flowers or frogs. Tour through the Mekong Delta, past rice paddies and houseboats.

There were pink tulips, red roses, white water lillies, the gracious lotus, the yellow sunflower and lots and lots of other flowers. We went there as a part of our Back of the bike food tour. Really a good place for photoshoot.

As other reviews state, this is a traditional market. So there will be meat, poultry and seafood lining the streets along withe vegetables and fruit. This is the real day to day life of the people here. Don’t let that stop you from coming. This is why you’re traveling. Inside the market there are many food vendors. You can eat a freshly made Vietnamese breakfast and watch the vendors work. Don’t miss it,

This is the city's biggest, most authentic market. You can find almost anything you need here, from basic supplies to souvenirs. The food is outstanding and the people-watching is great even if you don't buy anything.
Ben Thanh indoor market in Ho Chi Minh is a vibrant , bustling , colourful and exciting shopping experience from street food stalls to colourful fabrics , clothes, spices, coffee, shoes and a whole lot more .... be prepared to barter for a good bargain and also prepare yourself for the constant pestering to buy , it can be exhausting but great fun .

An indoor wholesale market known for its bargains.
A great place to explore, you'll be encouraged to buy but not to excess... the food area: fish, meat and fruit/veg is the more interesting. The morning is best. An outdoor night market opens in adjacent streets.

I’ve been going to this market for well over 20 years, and since I own and operate a factory, I need industrial supplies, machines repaired, hardware, and other manufacturing necessities. They also have some fashion, some army navy clothing, and if you look hard enough for some antique stuff.
