Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

Well, this is one of the best farmers' markets I have ever been to. Lots of great vendors with wonderful produce. Plenty of organic options, which is very important to my wife and me. The food cart area is not to be missed- everything I tried here was great. In particular, seek out the Asian dumpling stand- they are fantastic. This is a perfect way to start a Saturday morning in Boulder.

Our family loves the farmer's market. They usually also have an ATM on site too. There's usually a local stand that has a $10 all you can fill veggies in one plastic bag. It's a great deal for any family on a budget wishing to shop local produce.

We go to Dillon every summer & always go to the Farmer’s Market. The setting is stunning- right on the lake with a beautiful view of the mountains. It has so many vendors with a huge variety of items such as produce, jewelry, pottery, clothing, plus lots of cool things to give as small gifts or souvenirs!! My favorite is the “Two Mike Creek Jelly”!! It’s just the BEST sweet & hot jelly around! This is a fun event for everyone & there are always venders giving sample & selling lunch for a reasonable price. Don’t miss it!!

Flea markets and estate sales are my kind of shopping, so when I am in Lafayette, I try to visit the extensive flea market here. I just feel you never know when you are going to find an irresistible treasure. This market has many little stalls that feature different themes--western garb, old post cards, comics, and vinyl. Lots of kitchenware, china, glassware and trinkets. Not ideal for little kids, unless they are patient and well-behaved, but that's always true of shopping excursions. The perusal is the fun of it, and if you make a find, all the better.

One hundred and forty years ago, Cherry Creek North was part of a small town called Harman. Since then, Cherry Creek North has emerged as a staple in the fabric of Denver and Colorado, blossoming into a very special mixed-use district. Today, nearly 600 businesses make up the area’s 16 walkable blocks, where you can find a variety of independent and international retailers featuring unique fashion, jewelry and home furnishing stores, spas, salons, art galleries, and restaurants.

Typical Farmer’s Market with local produce. The Drink Shack was fun and cheap. Live music, shady spots with benches, and public restrooms all made it enjoyable even with an infant.
