We (a company of 3; 2 pinoys) ate here during our trip in 2012. The sauces tasted artificial, from a sacket. We all suffered from upset stomage... Wonder how this got a 'good reputation', it was awful!
Food is ok and priced right.Premises can use some updating.
If you plan to visit the Domus Teofilo in Carcar around lunch time, try eating at the Big Dipper instead of the convenient and common fastfood joints. There are a lot of tricycles parked by the roadside outside the Domus Teofilo compound. Our tricycle ride further into the barangay took about 5-8 mins for a fare of P8 per person. Turning right onto the dirt road, we could already see some fishponds taht were part of the Big Dipper area. The restaurant is at the dead end. There are a lot of trees around and it enjoys strong breezes that help fend off the summer heat. They also offer fishing and horsebackriding (saw it on their signage but didn't try it nor saw anyone else availing it). They have an al fresco restaurant and also outdoor tables and chairs. We opted to eat on an outdoor table with benches under the shade of a tree instead of under a tent. We ordered shrimps (bought fresh from a shrimp farm located right beside it). We requested for the shrimps to be sauteed (not in the menu), and also ordered stuffed grilled squid, rice (of course) washed down by mango shake and fresh coconut juice served in its shell. Although we were the only ones there, it took them 20 mins to prepare our food but it was worth the wait. The shrimps and squid were very fresh and well seasoned. The average prices of their dishes hovered around P350 per dish that is good for 2-3 persons.

If you're tired and hungry heading off the south, might as well visit here. 1878 restaurant that has a lot of delicious menus and their must try Filipino dish.
Am so, so happy I found Sugars Café! I am a vegetarian and they have provided me the meal I have been looking for. I love their pasta, salad, curry, and fried rice. For breakfast, Inday's (the Chef) French Toast is the best. The atmosphere is so warm and they treat you like family. My family, especially my son and granddaughter, love their hamburgers and freshly made REAL potato fries. As Americans, all our cravings are served well at Sugars. Oh, one must try their Mango Float. A great dessert to end one's meal with a great cup of coffee.
