Quite exotic menu items, with American, Asian, Middle-Eastern, Mediterranean cuisine (but we were conservative and had filled baked potatoes). The place was quiet when we called, about 9:15 on a Friday night.

The Wee Kelpie is on the seafront in the tourist resort of Helensburgh. We are multi award winning and take great pride in our customer service and incredible food on offer. We sell a selection of seafood and butchers sausages, haggis and blackpudding. Al
This chippy is brilliant the chips are the best I've ever had and the tartare sauce is amazing. The produce is the best quality and the food is so fresh. The portions are really big. Great value for money!!

Ordered from here last night on recommendation.1st impression of take away online menu was very positive, loads of choice, great descriptions of dishes.Positivity continued when food arrived hot, tasty and good sized portions. This will be our new go to take away for Chinese food.Well worth a try,you won't be disappointed.
The menu states that The Kafay has been going for more than 10 years, and the 2 owners have over 50 years experience (I hope that is between them). Presently it is undergoing renovations, but don't let that put you off!Inside they only have seating for 20, and at lunch it is busy with a constant stream of workmen appearing to be fed.Food is good, freshly prepared for you, and is well priced - an all day breakfast is less than £5.00.A slice and tottie scone roll is just £2.00 - a well known local chain who have just announced that they are closing all their shops charged me £3.66 PLUS 7p for a sachet of sauce for the same!!!Will try to return.

the food tastes good however the portion size is not appropriate for the price.Sometimes there is a wait due to telephone orders therefore I would recommend you phone your order in prior to collection.

Chans is one of those chineses where I grew up thinking it was the best Untill I tried other chineses all over inverclyde and realised it wasn't, it's menu is bang average and overpriced with nothing on the menu that stands out or anything that would bring u back there for a specific dish. I used to go here for chips, fried rice and curry sauce Untill I found out that golden city's is better and bigger. Nothing in this takeaway is bad, it's all good but nothing is great.

Been using this takeaway for years , the food is fresh and tasty , premises is clean and orders are prepared fairly quickly. I think the curry sauce is the best sauce in town. I do prefer when the food is in the foil containers though which you need to request and not the microwave ones.

Visited here whenever we are in the Port as it's a great little chippy. Highly recommended trying the Pizza Crunch if you are in the area (prepare for a long workout afterwards though!).
