We went in for a late lunch; a plate of cooked vegetables for Eu 6 only.Got to get this pasta/pizza out! And boy, did it!

This quirky little cafe sells Palermo street food to go. I got some ragu arancina, which are meat-filled rice balls that are breaded and deep fried. Tasty, greasy, delicious street food. I was a bit confused about how to order but the staff were friendly and patient. Food was good. Although remember to take some napkins for wiping your hands afterwards!

This is a take away restaurant, where you can eat several varieties of "focaccia" and pizza. It is not a gourmet kind of food but is the most typical and genuine you can eat in Palermo. Don't miss the "sfincione", a tasty kind of pizza with onions, anchovies and caciocavallo cheese. Great value for price. Everytime we go to Palermo, we buy here almost 1 kg of food to bring at home :-)

We didn't get to eat here, so this is more for the service of providing incorrect opening times. Walked here as reviews were good. Doors were open and TripAdvisor and their Facebook page advises it was open from 5pm (17:00). We go there at 6:30pm and are told they are only preparing and don't serve until 8pm. Obviously saved ourselves for a pizza and are now hungry and trying to find another place to eat.

We visited here a few times during our stay - loved the variety of fillings. They all tasted great, and were good value for money. Loved the special fries as well. Friendly helpful staff too.

Panificio tipico locale, che produce pane, dolci, pizza e vaschette da rosticceria, con tavolini all'esterno.
It is an institution in Palermo, everybody knows it and I confirm it! It is just a fantastic place to have "Pizza a taglio"! The only issue it that it is in a small road and there is no parking near by if you go by car...but it is well worth spending some time to look for parking to try it! I had "Parmigiana"...Fantastic...I went there again before the end of my holidays!

We could see this place from our apartment , so had no expectations about tents, Many restaurants in Sicily seem to do this due to the space issues. We had the Pest fries, highly recommended, very different, the burgers were made from good quality meat and were large and tasty, we had one Vesuvio and one Nero di Mirto. They also sell good local beers to wash it down with. Service could have been better but it wasn't so bad. Tartare means raw which seems to pass many people by so worth mentioning so as not to be disappointed as were a young couple when we were there, they made a fuss blaming staff for their lack of knowledge.

My wife and I stayed right across the quad from here and ate here frequently. Saw it every day from our terrace and enjoyed every food they had to offer. We speak basic Italian and they spook some English and as we had no problem communicating back and forth and enjoyed their many suggestions. They are the real deal and everything is fresh from the market. There is nothing better than the freshness and authenticity they offer.

We travelled all over the Sicily and tried many arancini but this was the BEST. Lovely place with small seating/standing area but the food "arancini" really the best. Not fatty at all. They managed to bring old Sicily fast food to another level which is suitable for modern traveler. You can find a lot of varieties from meat, cheese, fish, etc. Highly recommended. Just try it.
