Access is limited to help for wheelchair users, as there is a high step. Access to the dining area is of the takeaway area. Wheelchair accessible seating. Clean dining area, friendly helpful staff. This is a typical English fish and chip restaurant and takeaway. You have the choice of a number of starters and desserts. Main course is dominated by fish, you have a choice of fish in haddock and cod. Lovely sausage and chips plus other option for small eaters and children. Not forgetting a good portion of mushy peas. Worth a visit or if in a rush grab a takeaway.

Great chippy with excellent haddock and an owner who really knows his fish. He won't use frozen and prefers haddock from the Faroes! Freshly cooked and generously gave us extra sausages and chips with our order! Great bloke and great fish and chips.

Cant big this place up enough, food was piping hot, tasty and delivered by a lovely pleasant delivery driver. Was unsure about ordering from them being 3 miles away but we have never had a meal as hot as this before & there are many much nearer. Best take away we have ever had. Try it for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

Itâs been a few years since we last called in to treat ourselves, to what we were hoping would be as good as we remembered.Absolutely first class! Whist this restaurant and takeaway is not categorically what you would regard as fine dining you cannot fault the quality of their fish and chips, with bread and butter, washed down with a pot of tea!The menu is limited but there are a few options that should suit most people. If you are looking for a traditional Fish and Chip style restaurant that is reasonably priced then look no further. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

My sisters and I called in for a chippy takeaway, my sister asked if there was enough chips for all our orders and was told yes there was. The girl serving put a carrier bag with food in on the counter, there you go ladies she said. My sister said these two havenât ordered yet, oh sorry there isnât enough chips left. My sister said I asked you and you said there was enough, the girl walked away so I said are you going to put this order somewhere to keep it warm then, the girl came back and put my sisters order on top of the plates to keep it warm. When we eventually got served 10 minutes later and after she had stopped rubbing her nose and pushing her glasses up, didnât wash her hands we got our food and left. My sister said I was in here last week and the same girl was eating chocolate cake in between serving, licking her fingers and not washing her hands. Needless to say we wonât be coming to you for any more chips, if she does that in front of you what does she do what you donât see. Has she got a hygiene certificate, has she got a hair net or hat because she certainly didnât have her hair covered up, it was all straggly hanging down her face. My sisters chips were cold by the way, they had to be microwaved. Hi Sue B thank you for you comments I spoke to my wife about this issue an she can recall what took place as she was frying at the time she spoke too the girl to see what happened with your order to which she said that she thought that the other 2 was separate customers an not part of your group so i can only apologies for the mistake as a business serving hot food all our girls are fully aware of the importance of using the hand sanitiser that they have up front and are encouraged to use it as often as possible to maintain hand hygiene which is sometimes not always possible when very busy to use it on every serving of customers but I can assure it is used frequently as we have a strict policy on hygiene the waring of hats an long hair must be tied back etc again my apology for not having a good experience with us an our service as we do pride our self on excellent customer service which is very demanding on our busiest times unfortunately occasionally one gets through the net(but shouldn't ) I hope that my reply explains how we work at the pea bung an you return as we value all customers Thank you

The actual meal was okay, fish n chips, fish tasted slightly metallic but edible, the service from the young girl waitressing and taking orders was outstanding, listened to the actual orders, read them back to ensure it was correct, gave straight answers to questions, polite and efficient loverly smile and pleasant person all around, I'm Savoy-trained and as a qualified silver service waiter I would employ her at the drop of a hat, I wish her well in everything she does, and the restaurant is very lucky to have her. Its worth a trip just to be served by her.

As a born and bred Grimberian living on Wybers, Wybers chippy was always the place to go for fish and chips. But no longer. On New Years Eve Wybers was closed and the only chippy open was Littlefield Lane. Off we went expecting the worse, but I ended up having the best piece of haddock ever (i'm 47 and have had fish and chips for most weeks of my life). Thinking it was a pure fluke I returned tonight to get an even better piece of fish. That fish was as white as snow, freshly cooked to order and covered in a delicious batter. The owners are also a couple of the nicest shop owners i've ever encountered. Sorry Wybers but Littlefield Lane is the place to beat!

Read good reviews about Papas so decided to try it. We didnt book a table we just walked in. Didnât wait long for a table around 10 minutes. There was 6 of us, seated in the ballroom. I was absolutely freezing!! The table was bare except for cutlery and a serviette each. We ordered tea and had to ask for a teaspoon and some hot water. I ordered scampi and to be fair we didnât really wait long for food. When it came my chips and scampi were lukewarm at best. My husband said his chips werenât very warm either but his fish was. Staff were ok but no one asked if the food was ok and no one asked if we wanted dessert, more drinks etc. Wouldnât visit again, I definitely donât think our visit lived up to the hype!

Went here while staying in Grimsby, based on online reviews, and it was worth it, top quality haddock and chips, perfect, and cheap too, ie cheap compared to prices down south, A huge bit of haddock, perfectly cooked, bit too big for me, couldnt quite finish it. .Wishing there was a chippie as good in my home town.
