The Province of Lecce (Italian: Provincia di Lecce) is a province in the Apulia region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Lecce, which is known as the Florence of the South. The province itself is called the "Heel of Italy". Included entirely in the Salento peninsula, it is the second most populous province in Apulia and the twenty-first in Italy.

If you want to find out more about olive trees, oil and bio production - that would be the best place. Great respect for Marta and her family who produce olive oil and take care about nature and biological production. Just imagine - Marta’s family own this farm from 17th century. It was sad to hear that local government has a different plans for this land. And biological agriculture is not in a respect for politicals. So this days Marta must fight for her olive plantations, for every olive tree and for biological production process that was founded by her family several centuries ago. First, Marta took us to the plantation. And told us an interesting story about history of olives, local farms, region and her family. Then we went to see the pruduction process. Tasty and healthy lunch from local gardens was at the end. Don’t forget to buy olive oil and other local production ;)
